How do you see the Bond timeline?

Do you see it as the same character? Do you consider a change of actor as a mini reboot? New timeline? Do you see the films as taking place in a different order they were released in?

Personally, I consider The Living Daylights as a Mini Reboot. So my timeline is DN-AVTAK, then TLD to DAD. However, there are some important events that I consider have happened in the Dalton/Brosnan universe, such as marriage to Tracy. In a way, I guess, TLD to DAD follow on from the books.
1.LTK 2.AVTAK 3.OP 4.FYEO 5.TND 6.LALD 7.GE 8.GF 9.TSWLM 10.SPECTRE 11.SF 12.MR 13.YOLT 14.TLD 15.CR (06) 16.TMWTGG 17.TB 18.FRWL 19.TWINE 20.OHMSS 21.DAF 22.DAD 23.QoS 24.NSNA 25.DN 26.CR (67)

    I see it very simply, the way I believe it was intended to be: DN to DAD is one timeline with all actors playing the same Bond, and CR started a new, unrelated timeline. M, Q and Felix (to some extent) are the same between Moore and Dalton, and when Felix mentions that Bond had previously been married it was a reference to his marriage to Tracy 20 years earlier.

    I agree, and that's how I imagine it was intended. The rest is reconciling the changes in style and how Bond never really ages.

    Bond was 18 in Dr. No and 58 in Die Another Day?

    I think they missed a trick in not having TLD as a more obvious re-boot. It is a re-boot of sorts.

    Michael Wilson wanted to reboot with TLD, but Cubby was against that. With M, the Minister of Defence and Q all treating Bond exactly the same as they did Moore's Bond, it's hard for me to picture TLD as a reboot. Plus, General Gogol is mentioned as being formerly the head of the KGB, which he was in Moore's films. They just continued on from Moore's Bond with a different tone. There's no reboot. Bond is not supposed to age, hence no remarks about Bond being old in Moore's later films. He's like the Simpsons and hardly changes. Only Daniel Craig's Bond changes.

    :))

    When watching any of the first 20 Bond Films, I pay no Attention to the Timeline or Continuity. It's not whats important when watching a Bond Adventure -{

    It's definitely not important, but I appreciate it when previous missions are referenced, like the items in Bond's desk in OHMSS.
