TSWLM....as a Brosnan film?

Watching TSWLM now, and I can't help but think about Brosnan in this film, and how it would work so well. I really don't know what it is, but some of the lines, facial expressions etc remind me of GE and TND. Can anyone else see Brosnan in this? As a TND style film? Of course, still in the 70's, but with Brosnan in his thirties, of course.

    Although I think it fits Roger Moore quite well, I can see what you mean. To me, a miscalculation with Brosnan was not allowing him to be lighter and more charming. He can carry that off well. The Spy Who Loved Me is a nice balance between jokey fantasy and some dramatic moments that give the movie grounding. Brosnan would have fit well if they had made it with him in the 1970s (and he fit age wise).

    Tomorrow Never Dies pretty much IS a remake of TSWLM, so, yes, of course I can see Brosnan in it. . .

    They seemed to want PB to be RM, with just a slightly harder edge in a few scenes. :)

    I agree -{

    TSWLM has got Elements of Brosnans Bond in there with the Action and Humor, even though it was tailored for Moore. I could also see him doing AVTAK as well :)

    TSWLM is when Roger found the twinkle in his eyes as Bond and in my imagination I can see him with a mild swagger in his tuxedo, walking in front of lush Binder title imagery to the strains of horns and Shirley Bassey. When Brosnan took over, one can accuse him of channeling that vibe, but the problem was, it was his own...he possessed the "Big Bond" mojo, effortlessly and IMO to a much larger degree than Lazenby, Dalton and Craig. The key word there is "effortlessly."

    It was trying to give Pierce his TSWLM which finished Pierce off. Why not concentrate on story rather then spectacle for once?
