    Have you seen Remington Steele?

Yes, unfortunately. Its not a proper role - more of a joke role

You obviously haven't seen some of the later episodes. It starts off as a joke, but there are more personal episodes in the third season that show Brosnan's range.

Brosnan shows quite a wide range in that show. Other films like Butterfly on a Wheel and The Matador show Pierce Brosnan doing far more than he did as Bond.

He didn't do well as Bond did he? Apart from the pain faces?

I'm saying that he can show a wide range as an actor. I didn't mention any range about him as Bond.
I have in Merchant of Venice as Antonio and Loves Labours lost. You have to remember actos have master Shakespeare beforethey move onto film acting. Note the range of Arnold Swazzenegger compared with Ian McKellen. If they dont manage Shakespeare they aren't taken seriously as actors.

Do you only take film actors seriously if they are classically trained? There are different skills required for different types of acting. It's a different skill to act for a live audience than it is to act for a camera. Showing emotion for one type of audience comes across differently for another.

Sometimes I get the impression that Daniel Craig thinks James Bond is beneath him and may not be giving the role the attention it deserves. Similar to Sean Connery in Diamonds Are Forever, it's not something Daniel Craig wants to be doing either.

And how do you draw that conclusion about these films? Oh yeah, you made it up. Craig has been given free reign with Sam Mendes over SPECTRE. Skyfall made a billion at the box office. I would say teaming up with Mendes is pretty serious wouldn't you?

I've come to that conclusion when I see Daniel Craig saying things like this:

"I've been trying to get out of this from the very moment I got into it," he told the magazine. "But they won't let me go, and I've agreed to do a couple more, but let's see how this one does, because business is business and if the **** goes down, I've got a contract that somebody will happily wipe their ass with."

I've heard other things that make him sound like it's more about the money.

Craig thinks Skyfall is a good film, but you get the idea he doesn’t really respect it. “It’s got a lightness of touch and wink to it, because, after all, this is a James Bond movie, for f–k’s sake.” His comments could be construed as a tad ungrateful, considering the relative obscurity he knew pre-Bond and the non-Bond misfires he’s starred in since becoming 007 (The Invasion, Dream House, Cowboys & Aliens).

Without doubt the worse hatchet job he has ever done. The article is breathtakingly biased. Its also about skyfall.

The comments could be seen as a tad unngrateful after the relative obscurity before pre-Bond..

Yeah like Road to petition, Munich, layer cake, deliverance, The Mother, Sylvia, Elizabeth..

You've found one article expressing your views and have gone overboard on this. This was a horrifically biased article of a journalist who wants to catch Craig out...

It's in bad form to add things to the quote when you're quoting me, especially since you're making it seem like it's something I said when it's something from the article.
