Moore didn't really find his Feet until TSWLM. Both LALD and TMWTGG are him settling gently into the Role -{
Very much agreed, I particularly like Moore's performance as Bond in TMWTGG though. -{
I think Moore's performance is excellent in his first two Bond films. He's pretty settled into the role in TMWTGG, it's just that TSWLM is a much better film.
Even though LALD is my favourite, I overall prefer his last 3 as I love all FYEO, OP, and AVTAK. Whereas, for me, TMWTGG is weaker, and TSWLM, while good, is not as good.
I've always liked Bonds 'Fatherly' Relationship with Stacey in AVTAK. Staying up whilst she sleeps, going with her to City Hall, etc. ( it's fatherly until the Ending though ) )
1.On Her Majesties Secret Service 2.The Living Daylights 3.license To Kill 4.The Spy Who Loved Me 5.Goldfinger
Thought it was funny on " Premium Bonds" when Mark Gattis ( a big Bond fan)
said that the best way to watch AVTAK, was to imagine some old guy thought
He was a spy. )
Not saying I agree with him, just thought it was an amusing idea.

By this, essentially James St. John Smythe pretends he is James Bond, sometimes pretending to be James Stock.
Am I the only one who is not affected by Roger's age in AVTAK? Doesn't bother me in the slightest. Yes he looks old(ish), but not 70 or anything. In fact, he looked very good for 57.
Of his first three, I enjoyed Live And Let Die and The Spy Who Loved Me.
Of his second three, I enjoyed For Your Eyes Only and Octopussy.
I'm going with Moore's first three, although in some ways his last three were more assured entries. For me personally, LALD and TSWLM are among the very best Bond movies.

I agree; Moore's age never bothered me as a young'un. In-between Octopussy and AVTAK I believe he had some cosmetic surgery done & while it changed his look somewhat, he still looked pretty damn good at 57.

1 - Moore, 2 - Dalton, 3 - Craig, 4 - Connery, 5 - Brosnan, 6 - Lazenby
I immensely enjoy the fatherly relation between Bond and Draco in OHMSS! {[] {[] {[]
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
There first Meeting was brilliantly written
Sir Roger is great in the film - it's just a shame the writing and direction were lacklustre.
