Hmmm no i'd have to disagree with this one. In fact I feel the opposite. In TLD he seems more like he's trying to play Bond, whereas in LTK in seems far more at ease in the part, and his performance is more effortless and convincing.
Dalton does a very fine job of playing Bond in both films I think. The only downside to his performance in TLD is his delivery of throwaway lines such as "Amazing this modern safety glass." Overall I much prefer TLD as a film though, so when I think of Dalton as Bond that is always the film that comes to mind. But to respond to the topic of this thread, his performance in LTK is really good, and he doesn't suffer from having those awkward lines to deliver. He does the 'bad side' of Bond really well. However, I think the fact that LTK is purely a revenge story has always hampered it from ranking higher on my list of favourite Bonds. It always sits somewhere around number 15, but I can't fault Dalton for this.
