Any iconic moments in Skyfall?

I like Skyfall and it is one of my favorite Bond films. The acting, direction, writing and cinematography are all outstanding.
It does, however, seem to lack iconic scenes (original, memorable, representative of the series and the Bond character, influential, much copied).
Obviously whether a scene is iconic is something that develops over time, but even after three years there only seem to be a few. The ones that might qualify would be:
1. When Silva removes his prosthesis.
2. Silva's island (an original villain's lair).
3. Silva's story about the rats.
4. When the train carriage comes through the tunnel roof.
5. The Komodo Dragon scene.
I can't think of many others (notice all except the last involve Silva, who was a terrific villain).
Obviously, the early films had a disproportionate number of iconic scenes but even CR had a large number (the Parkour chase, which alone features a half-dozen iconic moments, the torture scene, the scene with Bond and Vesper in the shower, the fight scene in the stairwell, the climax of the poker game, Vesper's death).
Did I miss any for SF?

2. Silva's island (an original villain's lair)- if you compare it to lairs like Piz Gloria or the Volcano it seems rather bland
3.Silva's story about the rats- iconic for SF: yes iconic for the whole franchise: no but it is cool that they did it without a cut

but I think the film has two main scenes that still give me chills since they work so great...
1. when Bond sees the leftovers of his DB5- the theme kicks in,the look on his face
2. the best scene of the whole film....enquiry shootout: the scene begins wit DJD's monologue and Bond running through gone crazy-London...the score is really good and memorable (only time in this movie) and when Bond finally gets to the enquiry it is pure coolness like the way he walks across the smoke filled room...
also worth mentioning: I just love how Mallory jumps up at no time to get M out of the crossfire (while Tanner hides under the table
If anything, I'd say the memorable scenes involve Judi Dench.

I would say that Bond being shot on the train and his drinking beer instead of a Martini could become iconic. It's not necessarily the big moments that become iconic but the scenes and moments that we associate as Craig's era.

Took a mountain of control to keep the stiff upper lip.
My personal iconic moment would be when Bond is sprinting to the inquiry, dramatic music playing. There really is something about that scene that really does it for me.

I'm glad someone else enjoyed that scene. To me, it embodies the entire series, with Bond being the one man who can save the day in a race against time. Classic Bond moment.
When I saw it the first time in the theatre, people did stand and cheer when the DB5 was revealed, so I guess that could constitute an iconic moment.
BTW, I noticed your four favorite Bond films are the same as mine; however, you go seriously off-track with No. 5.
Silvas entrance, capture, interrogation, escape, the hearing, skyfall, death of M...
I believe Skyfall wil be talked about in twenty years time. Its stock will go up...
Other than that, possibly Silva's prothesis reveal, the monologue and M's death.
Severine's screen time (such a waste, it actually annoyed me when she was bumped off so soon)
All the easy hacking business (seems to be a flaw with all films nowadays, MI etc - hmm open that door / Elevator / change the traffic light)
Bond cracking the code instead of Q and his guys
Silva planning on being captured and knowing exactly where they would take him etc
Bond not knowing Eves full name despite spending all that time with her previously and the reveal dialogue feels a bit naff.
Silva's Island and the casino / komodos look a bit too fake / set
Not sure if any of it will be iconic (I didn't think Silvas entrance was as great as everybody else)
The Skyfall Lodge finale and Shanghai sections are my favourite part of the film
How do you expect them to do komodo's?
They look fine in the half light but did you honestly expect to go out and get some. There are komodos in western zoo's - but they are highly dangerous. For one thing they are lethal and attack people on sight. You'd be hiding behind a chair all day..
Also they are very very poisonous. Venom travels down its teeth so one bite can be fatal. They are used to disable buffalo.
Err make the CGI sections look better
Same with Silvas face during the reveal
How do you do that? Without using cgi? Use real ones? Or perhaps go back to Stop Motion?
There is good CGI and not so good CGI (e.g. see DAD)
I think it could have been done better, maybe they were constrained budget wise
I cant see fact that they could have komodo dragons let lose on set - running round trying to chew the legs off people?
CGI is safer. I know it isn't bad cgi. But otherwise you will put your crew in danger...
I know the dragons are fine in the half light. But they do look different in full light - but not enough to be noticeable ie DAD. Interesting that the Macau casino has them, as those in Las Vegas has white tigers on display...
What actually kills you is the Bacteria in there Saliva.
I just rewatched the Komodo scene, I'm probably being a bit harsh to be fair. I think the movement looks iffy just before Bond escapes and the eyes looks a bit cartoonish to me (though I'm no expert)
The Silva reveal bugs me the most - when he puts the teeth back in and his cheeks go back to being perfect (they prob should have had him permanently blemished to some degree)
The point is that EON might've spent twice as much money and it wouldn't have looked any better.
They're actually venomous. It isn't the bacteria. That was a myth built up from an old National Geographic documentary that got perpetuated.
