If Morocco is the one you're most excited for, my order would be reversed.

For me it's Rome. It's such a beautiful and iconic city and a lot of movies that are set there take the cheaper way out and film in Budapest or Prague or somewhere similar (then again, it seems that some of Spectre's Rome was shot in England at Blenheim I seem to recall...never mind!). Still, to see Bond in that great city will hopefully be a highlight.

In second place is Mexico City. A sprawling city with beautiful architecture and one rarely seen on the big screen. The clips of the PTS look very exciting.

Wow, no Casablanca fans here? Morocco is just a beautiful country that hasn't been done much, or barely at all in Bond. Dia de Los Muertos is awesome so Mexico is definetely a close second. Austria seems to be where the wilderness comes in to play, and we haven't seen Bond go Solid Snake like that very often. What comes to mind are Dr. No's Island and the Goldeneye Finale in the Cuban Rainforest. It is being shot on 30mm film i believe, and it is glorious. But Tangier is a beautiful city, and a beautiful desert. Daniel Craig really is the Western Bond. Quantum of Solace felt like a modern western once they get to Bolivia and the Skyfall finale is totally western - People need to stop comparing it to Home Alone like they do, and compare it to the freakin' OK Corral

Rome - I am definetely interested in the action setpiece of Rome but I don't know, not particularly interested in the city itself. Craig's bond has already been all through Italy - Venice, Sienna, and Talamone

Actually Skyfall doesn't compare at all to the real OK Corral, which only took about 30 seconds; it does however compare very well to one of noted lawman/gunfighter Elfego Baca's standoffs in a cabin surrounded by a bunch of bad guys firing tons of lead at him, so I'd agree with your Western thesis.

Though I'm more intrigued by the other locations, I'm most "excited" for Austria. It'll be cool to see Bond get back on the slopes.

Can't believe the OK Corral only lasted 30 seconds, how'd they ever make movies about that? The Alamo movie with John Wayne is actually a horrible film, the battle only lasts 30 seconds as well, and i'm pretty sure that lasted a full night. But ok, I'll go with that other thing then! :p

Agreed, but still I just do not see Daniel Craig looking good on skiis or a snowboard. He's too macho or something? However I am hoping for a snowmobile chase

    I would say Rome.

Very few big budget productions bother to actually film there because of the cost and the red-tape and hoops they have to jump through to film on location.

That's what makes the Bond films different "the money is right there on the screen, you can see it".

I think Cubby Broccoli said that, and it's true.

Im looking forward to seeing Bond on the ground in Solden with the action scenes since not much known apart from that quick tease.

Interesting that Bond is on "holiday" in Mexico and not on an authorised mission!!

I'd say Rome. Lots of lingering shots. Plus its evidence that Spectre could be there just as they were in Paris..

Also Mexico City should be good...

I look most forward to seing Morocco because we have seen so little and know so little about this location. I like Austria the least because it should have been somewhere else :#

If he's the one responsible for the poor colour, he's certainly not a genius. That's my only complaint so far.

Only from the trailer, but in my opinion the lighting is brilliant
and the cinematography looks amazing. -{ but of course we
    all have different opinions.

It's not the lighting, it's that the colours are muted. The people look like ghosts. Or, rather, spectres.

I guess that's what was wanted, to evoke an atmosphere. Also
it is only the trailer, so who knows ? What the true finished product
    will look like.

I quite like the cinematography. It does have an odd tinge to it but I quite like that and it's not quite this- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88S6dLV6kxQ :)

Austria, as I think the Bond films look wonderful in the snow, and London, as it's my home city.

Great thread! My travel plans are always dictated by Bond films - they have taken me all over the world and I am already planning my next batch of holidays!

The London scenes are literally in my back yard as I live walking distance from the MI6 building and Parliament Square :)

In October I am heading to Austria. Even though Bond has been here before (TLD, TSWLM) I have not. So will be looking out for key places in SPECTRE. Can't wait.

Christmas will be in South America - again Bond inspired.

My number one for SPECTRE will be Mexico. never been and hope to go in 2016 when I have seen the movie and therefore know what to look for!

Rome is great, have been several times so will be keen to see that.

North Africa, I am sorry to say will not be on my list any more. I have visited Egypt twice and loved the Pyramids (TSWLM) but the threat of terrorism, and Morocco's dreadful record on human rights means that I am not keen any more.

So, to answer the question I am most excited for...in order:

    1. Mexico
    2. Austria
    3. Rome
    4. London
    5. Morocco

Definitely the Alps. Bring back the OHMSS vibe. Craig in the snow will be epic. Well, Craig anywhere becomes epic really!

    o

Its a shame that you feel this way about the Middle East. I was thinking of Jordan and Egypt this year but it seems on high alert due to the terrorism. But it means they have won if you stay away..

Would like to do Luxor and Aswan...

The berbers do keep daggers up their sleeves... STILL! Of course certain areas of morocco are safer than others. Casablanca for instance is actually very dangerous and impoverished, having very little in common with its portrayal in the movie. It is quite close to terrorist nations, as well as Sierra Leone, ebola hotspot of the world. But it obviously still seems safe enough for one of the hottest travel destinations for Europeans out there. :#

Mexico, the Alps, and the sinister looking SPECTRE command centre (that looks like a cross between the Cuban dish lair and Carver's stealth boat from the first two Brosnan films).

I know it's not out yet.

But I just went to Rome last week (it was booked ages ago before I knew SPECTRE was filming there). So I visited a couple of places I saw in the trailer and heard were confirmed:

    Ponte Sisto Bridge
St Peters Basilica/ Vatican area and the main road that leads to it
    Around the Colosseum
Road at the side of the river where the cars race each other
Via Quattro Fonate (which I heard was cancelled, but had a look anyway)

Lovely city, can't wait to see how it looks in the film.

Has to be the Austrian Alps - it's about time Craig's Bond did some winter sports :007) ...and Rome/Vatican City looks to be great---although Eon seems to have a hard time keeping Craig out of Italy! :s

Agreed, even the brief glimpse in the trailer of the aerial shots of the
Plane flying over the building in the Alps and the chase sequence. All
    Look so stunning. The cinematography looks to be simply amazing. -{
