I intend to leave it at that too but since you ask about post 51, no IMHO it is not inappropriate. It appears to have been written with humour rather than malice in mind. The AJB club has a humour all of it's own which I for one am still getting to grips with.
No one is asking that you muzzle yourself or stifle your own opinions but, with all due respect, when entering into the rough & tumble of debate you have to expect counterpoints of all forms (even 'bad' jokes).
Can we agree that you like PB & I don't & leave it at that?
I do wonder - when Babs decides she no longer fancies Dan anymore and a more tradional Bond is the way forward, playing to the pre-Craig Bondian tropes - how some fanboys will feel when David Gandy becomes Bond 7.

Tempers seem to have become a bit heated in this thread, so I'm going to leave it closed till tomorrow to let everyone cool off. Anyone wants to talk about that, send a PM.
Meantime, my tuppenceworth (two cents) is that we are all entitled to our opinions about the various Bond actors and to express them... politely. Though I do have to add that each of them (with the exception of Mr Lazenby, who did make a lot of money in another area) has had a career 99% of actors would have sold their soul to have enjoyed and none of them are failures:
CRAIG: At the height of his box-office powers. Has several more years at the top.
BROSNAN: Still busy making films, though naturally accepting parts more appropriate to his age these days (often fathers). Has done just fine since his Bond days.
DALTON: Currently starring in the award-winning, very popular "Penny Dreadful". Always preferred to take parts he was interested in playing, rather than for their box-office potential.
MOORE: Gradually eased out of movies in his 60s (after many money-making years) into his charity work.
CONNERY: Retired from films over ten years ago, still turning down offers. His record speaks for itself.
My good sir, it's not in me to correct every little bit of imperfect wording; I knew what he meant, and that was good enough to agree with.
But just for you, I'll use this analogy for the "failure" of LTK:
I went to the car dealership wanting to purchase an Aston Martin, but my bank account was not sufficient so I had to settle for a Jaguar instead- it was that kind of failure. )
One of the reasons I love this site is reading all the different opinions from us fans. We all grew up watching a particular Bond actor (mine was Moore) and tend to be nostalgic towards that actor. We all have our favourites. Some fans enjoy all of the films and all of the Bond actors. Some fans don't like certain Bond's, some don't like certain films - but this is okay. What I am trying to say is each of us will have differing opinions and that's what makes AJB and being a Bond fan so special -{
My own take on Brosnan - if forced to put the Bond actors in order he would probably be low down on my list - but I would feel wrong in doing this because I think he did a great job. And although his films are relatively low on my list I still enjoy them a great deal. I still remember the thrill of that tank crashing through the wall to the Bond theme in GE. In fact for pure entertainment value Brosnan's films are hard to beat. Even the much maligned DAD is very entertaining to watch and has great moments mostly when Brosnan is on screen. -{
Being of an age where I watched every movie in the cinema as they were released Brosnan is my least favourite Bond - IMO he looks like he is pretending to be JB whereas all the others ARE JB.
That's not to say I don't enjoy the Brosnan films because I do and QOS and TMWTGG for example rank lower than any of Brosnan's in my ranking list.
The video is very clever but still does not convince
Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
I think you and I, Wicker man, think alike. {[]
( you should be worried )
Roger was my cinema Bond, I enjoyed Pierce as 007 but he would be near
the bottom of Bond actors ( if I ranked them) BUT this doesn't mean I dislike
him in any way. -{ , his films had many problems, but not him. Some poor
direction and weak scripts were the big problems, if anything Brosnan was one
of the plus points of the films. {[] in my opinion
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."

because it yet still is a montage
"You see Mr.Bond, you can't kill my dreams...but my dreams can kill you.Time to face destiny" - "Time to face gravity"
Thought this might have been of interest ...
" Pierce Brosnan disliked the gadgets and overblown effects of this film. He suggested to the producers that the series go back to its more low key, darker roots. Ironically, after Brosnan left, the next Bond film was the low key and darker Casino Royale (2006)."

Sorry, but that doesn't change my opinion of the man. The films were tailored for his persona..
No offence, but can we let this one lie? I believe Barbel made the request a while ago...

Debate and discussion is what this site is about (plus sharing information)...provided said debate/discussion is done civilly and with respect FOR ALL, then it's all good...it's impossible we will all agree on everything...but we should ALL agree on being courteous...and not taking things too seriously
If you feel you can't do that - and this is for everybody - then don't read the thread -{
Watching "everything or nothing" its pretty clear how absurd pierce himself thought the producers' ideas were. But at the end of the day the actors only have a small influence, despite what some of them think / say
some of the"extras" didn't help. One scene in TND, as Bond
enters the hotel and two of the villain's cars drive past. The
actors in the backseat, are very bad and I'm very aware I'm
watching a movie. )

no problem with that
yeah the poor bugger is forced to drive a bmw i8 due to his financial status
*sigh* life can be hard...

So - lazenby was an attempt to find Connery-type gold again with an unknown
Moore was all about banking a name after the failure of lazenby and the departure of Connery
Dalton was about making bond leaner and more serious after Moore overdid it
Pierce was about bringing humour and class back after the (box office) failure of dalton
And Craig was tough and hard after the excess of DAD
Pierce existed because of dalton and Craig exists because of pierce. It's all connected - links in a chain. The lucky ones - like TP - love it all

He looks like a cross between Dalton and Brosnan
1 - Moore, 2 - Dalton, 3 - Craig, 4 - Connery, 5 - Brosnan, 6 - Lazenby
I thought that you were in denial of that?
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!

I'm glad that you did so, HTH, since otherwise we would not be having this little chit-chat.

We need a Montage ! ( sorry couldn't resist )
let's see if anybody knows from where this is?
Far too easy.
