They cant get anything from Spectre - closed set and all that. So they have have to resort to this...
It is interesting as Craig see's him as lonely. Which is pretty true. But its unleashed a media firestorm...
No, I don't see it as rubbish. When you use your freedom of speech, you're responsible for what you say, especially if it's work-related. I can't think of what else Horowicz could have meant.

The man used the wrong word. It's the impression he got from watching Luther. It's unlikely Horowitz is a true racist like Ian Fleming was.

Even back in MR, Bond's sexist comments ("a woman?") make him sound stupid. In the 1980s, Moore's Bond's attitudes towards women changed. He showed them more respect and it never seemed like he was taking advantage of women in those films.
Bond is heterosexual male, something that is not really celebrated anymore.

Isn't Craig's Bond bisexual (at least vaguely). He would ask: "What makes you think I'm heterosexual"?
Infact off hand I can only think of Cpt Jack Harkness from Dr Who and
Torchwood, as an openly gay hero. ........ I'm a big fan of Cpt Jack -{ I
think he's a great character, and oddly enough the character's sexuality
doesn't bother me in the slightest.
I'm guessing Bond's " Bi-sexual" commented has to do with Silva's
questioning of him ? Which I thought most people had decided was
Bond trying to counter Silva's questioning techniques. To show Silva that
He wasn't unsettling Bond.
He said "What makes you think this is my first time?" - Not necessarily the same thing. Sometimes straight guys dabble at some point out of curiosity. Personally though, I like to think Bond is Bi from that scene alone. We have just never seen him exploit the opportunity. - He looks ready to throttle Silva when his arms are freed, plus Silva looks a little surprised at being outwitted in that way. Like a classic Bond baddie he quickly recovers and changes tack.
Mr Craig's Bond is not sexist in the traditional sense. He had his heart broken by Vesper, and we see that clearly. Probably makes CR-06 the one Bond film with real romance in it besides OHMSS.
However, he is an ally cat when he needs to be, and its somewhat squewed in the writing. - Vesper, Camille and E-MP he treats with humour, respect and curiosity. Fields was a plaything (poor lassie*) and used Solange and Sévérine purely as means to an end.
This creates a slightly lopsided perspective, and the media (in a hurry to meet deadlines and stir up agro) only look at the latter and assume "sexist bastard." I suppose the passing of the M baton from Dame Judy to Mr Finnes will have added to that glossing over. Of course, the side effect when the media do this is, it gets us - those who know better, talking about it which creates more publicity!
* I really, really REALLY wish they had given Gemma Arteton more to do. That woman is exceptional. Damned funny too.

Ditto. While it's certainly possible Bond is bisexual, I doubt he actually is. Bond's "first time" quip is simply his way of throwing Silva's tactic back in his face. Much like when he said to Le Chiffre "Now the whole world's going to know you scratched m balls."
