I expect/ wish for:
• gunbarrel in the beginning!!!!!!!!
• great song (should be accomplished from what there is)
• great score (def harder to fulfill, Newman must bring his A-game after SF)
• not mute but "economical with words" type of henchman
• threatening henchman (done!)
• larger than life villain
• A PROPER LAIR (like in the old movies, but according to the latest vlog that could be fulfilled too)
• Film ending with Bond getting the Lady without her dying
• G.A.D.G.E.T.S. !!!

I'm expecting all of these except a great score. I've never heard a well developed score from Thomas Newman, partially because he can't write a solid piece of music to start with.
That's pretty much a perfect wishlist. The only two things I would add:
1. Incorporate the song into the score
2. A moment where Q says, "Now pay attention 007..."
I'd add to this the classic scene of Bond in M's office getting his assignment but that appears to be tied on already.
I would disagree that Newman isn't capable of delivering. I thought many of Skyfall's pieces were quite good. I really liked the music when Bond goes after Patrice in Shanghai for example. I will say I favor David Arnold when it comes to the most recent composers though.
Only about 6 more weeks to go! (For us unfortunate folks in the US who have to wait an extra week for the release)

A film score is really one piece of music overall. A few cool tracks can make a good pop album, but that doesn't make a good film score.

I really hope there is a gun barrel in the beginning.. I think it's the right time to bring it back to the beginning of the movie!

"I am not an entrant in the Shakespeare Stakes." - Ian Fleming
"Screw 'em." - Daniel Craig, The Best James Bond EverTM
U mad brahh? )
seriously, is needs to be at the beginning, so that everybody knows a Bond-movie is to follow and not some random action film!
Some people are really dumb if they don't know without that )
ever seen these 15yo douches with snapbacks and jeans hanging in their knees?
Oh for fucks sake!
Why does a Bond film have to be a shopping list
If a Bond film is absorbing I will lap it up. Just give us a good film....
not a shopping list but an enummeration of things I like to see!
where's the problem with taht?
Its a shopping list.
My Bond must have all these things or it isn't a Bond film.
I'm sure 99% of the members here have them
/But why not accept the film for what is?
Because those with expectations will be disapointed...
...... It's the Best of times, it's the worst of times.
Not Tale of Two Cities, TP!
This is my list of things that I will not judge Spectre on but would love to see featured in the film for my own personal benefit
-Gunbarrel at the start. I understand your reasoning's having it at the end, DutchBondFan. And in many ways its a nice idea to try and make a difference between old Bond and Rebooted Bond, but there is nothing quite like having the Barrel at the beginning to get you pumped for the film, and for traditions sake. Honestly, though, I wouldn't complain if the gunbarrel was played twice, Once at the start and once at the end.
- The James Bond Theme to play.
Its nice having the Bond theme play for intro/Bond in Tuxedo Moments, but and I'm all for a repeat of the track 'Breadcrumbs' for these moments but I would really like it used in an action scene. In Breadcrumbs, it slowly mellowed out, but I really want the whole 'PAPADADADADA'

I'm talking about the 1:22 mark on the David Arnold version. Kinda hard to describe.
'Mr Bond, I've been expecting you, please take a seat.'
I mean, i can see this line causing quite a few laughs in the audience. It would be nice to see a nod to the previous Spectre.
-Blofeld's Cat and the explanation behind Blofeld's scar (If they are going to use the Donald Pleasance version)
-Bond in Bed with Swann at the end of the film, while the credits roll.
-A BIG threat with an epic countdown, like a Nuclear Bomb aimed at London or something. I want the stakes to be incredibly high this time. SPECTRE's plan must be massive and disatrious. No more water supply muck like QOS.
-Casino Royale, Ian Fleming
My wife and I own a men's hair salon (barbershop) named The Groom Room. For our customer appreciation event this year, we paid for a 248 seat theater, for our own private, premier showing of SPECTRE on Friday, November 6th. We gave away these tickets to our customers, as a way for us to thank them for their patronage. Our customers are so excited to be going to the premier, that they can hardly contain themselves... nor can I. We thought that if the big cities can have a Bond premier, then we can too, in the small city of Ames. The customers who are attending our event, have big expectations as well, and there hasn't been a day gone by in the last 4 weeks, that SPECTRE hasn't been mentioned and discussed at least once. Many of them have even started to read Fleming's novels, in preparation for the film... they're really getting into it. It's amazing the amount of anticipation that is building for this event.
It's a black-tie event, so our customers are looking forward to the evening's festivities. Trouble is, I can't decide if I want to wear white dinner jacket, or go with a midnight blue, shawl collar tuxedo. Oh well, this should give you an idea of how high my expectations are.

Nice to see you putting some James Bond Spirit into your community! (You never know, one or two of your Salon Patrons may end up on here)
The atmosphere at your work must be pretty cool
If you're hiring for the Black-Tie, I'd suggest trying both outfits out in the store, and going from what you think you suit best.
Worse comes to worse, if you can't decide, take a few snaps of each and put them up here and see what other members think is the best option
-Casino Royale, Ian Fleming
Do what Bond would do and wear a midnight blue dinner suit. Bond would never commit the faux pas of wearing a white dinner jacket outside of summer or the tropics. Iowa in November is not the place to wear a white dinner jacket. Your options are to either dress well (midnight blue) or dress poorly by wearing a costume (ivory).
yeah, im no expert but i figured it out on my own. Like it has something to do with white reflecting sunlight, even though he wears it at night. He wears it first in Mexico in Goldfinger and now in Morocco
