The company that my wife and I own (a men's barbershop called, The Groom Room) have really done it up this year. For our customer appreciation event, we're taking 248 of our customers to our very own private showing of SPECTRE, on Friday, November 6th. We've rented out one of the theaters here in Ames, and have purchased the 248 tickets for our private event. It's really our way of having a debut movie premier... just like they do in Hollywood (well, close to it anyway). We gave the tickets away to our customers, as a small way for us to say, "Thanks for your patronage."

It's a black tie event, and I can't tell you how excited our customers are for this. Nothing has ever been done like this in Ames before. We've even gotten some free newspaper and radio press about why we decided to do this kind of event. The response has been incredible. We're giving out swag bags with all kinds of men's grooming products, and we're also giving away these prizes:

    1) The entire 50 Years of Bond Blu Ray collection, including Skyfall goes to the biggest Bond fan (geek) other than me.
    2) A working scale model of the Skyfall DB5 (came all the way from London) goes to the customer who has been with us the longest, and is still with us.
    3) A hardbound copy of Ian Fleming's, "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" goes to our newest customer as of date.

Really, it's just me, wanting to sit in a REALLY big living room, in front of a REALLY big TV screen, and watch the premier with 250 of my friends... at least this is how my wife, Karen, describes it.

I can hardly wait for the next 5 weeks to pass... sure hope they pass by quickly!

I gotta say, the Groom Room sounds like my kind of barber sir! What an awesome place!
I'm a person that drives a couple of miles everytime I go to the barber just because there happens to be a gentlemen's barbershop that is a lot better than my local ones. To me it's very important, they go the extra mile, so I do it too!

But I have to say, this special customers event your organising is beyond my imagination, I wish that was done here! :D

    Hats off to you, sir! -{

And as a sidenote, also great to read where all the other guys are watching SPECTRE! Lots of dads and son events so it seems!

Thank you, that's very kind of you to say.

I know it's tantamount to bragging but I'll be watching it on the 24th at the cast and crew screening in London. :)

I'm going to see SPECTRE in this glamorous palace of culture. I have to admit it's fun (in a not very adorable way) to read about people in even more urban locatians who have to wait well into November :v

Wednesday 28th in Pathé Tilburg at 19:45 (Dutch time) including a live broadcast to Pathé Tuschinski where the official première is with a part of the Spectre cast!

Well, looks like we'll be at the same place then!

I purchased tickets for the IMAX show on the Thursday and will be going by myself to that.

On the Friday I'm going at noon, again by myself and then that evening at 7:30 with my wife and kids!

I'll watching it at the VUE cinema in Gateshead. 11:00AM on Tuesday the 27th October. The kids are off school that week aswell. So i'am hoping the theatre isn't going to be that full at that time in the morning. Nothing worse than teenagers that just want to talk and laugh through a movie.

Hoping to catch it on Imax on the opening day here in Singapore which will be on November 5th..

Release in Spain is Nov 6, hope to catch it that weekend if the missus and the 2-year will allow it (our in-laws have promised to babysit, so barring any colds we'll be able to go). Local cinemas in Seville are iffy, if we go to Granada where my parents are (150 mile trip) we can catch it in a nice digital screen. Sadly it'll be dubbed, always need to wait for the blu-ray to come out in order to watch it in English...

I think I might be the last person to watch Spectre on the forum.
Found out that it doesn't come here to Nov 12th X-(
Going to watch it on friday 13th with some mates, in between exams.
Oh well. I remember waiting this long for Skyfall (which was my first cinema bond).
Good things take time. lets just see if i can avoid the spoiler sections...

Got my hands on some of the best seats Friday Oct 30 in the biggest cinema in Copenhagen, had planned fancy dinner with a beautiful girl before the movie...
    Until today X-(

Got a call from the cinema, apparently they had sold me some tickets which a company had reserved for an employee event... No good seats available that Friday anywhere in CPH anymore of course, but hey at least they offered me some popcorn vouchers :s

Sorry, had to get some of the frustration off my shoulders in a forum where people understand :D

Well I'm going at 10.30am on the Tuesday (27th October) showing by myself, and I've just found out my eldest lad has bought tickets for the Monday 8pm Premier showing (26th Showing) so I'm going to that as well with him and my other son.

The wife wants to see it so we'll go to the Sunday afternoon matinee, and then at some stage I'm with the wife at the Christmas markets in Manchester (UK) at the end of November so I'll take the opportunity to go to the IMAX theatre there and watch it.

No doubt I'll take in another couple of viewings probably after the kids have gone back to school after half term holiday.

I'm buzzing and just can't wait, it's like being 7 years of age again after my elder brother told me he was taking me to see Goldfinger and Thunderball in 1966!!

A bit like TheGRman, I'm taking 150 clients and colleagues to see it at a private screening at The Odeon Covent Garden on Tuesday 27th. (we had originally booked to see it on the Monday evening at another cinema off Leicester Sq but the screen was too small :# so had to change).

We've been planning on rebranding our company since February and as my business partner knows what a Bond fan I am, he kindly agreed we would unveil our rebranding on the evening of the screening too. We're giving away goody bags too with Bond themed goodies in them afterwards and unveiling the brand in a Bond-sequence way. And of course the current PR does our job for us by getting everyone excited about seeing the film.

Not sure if there's a single area of my life that isn't influenced by Bond one way or other... :))

Excited to have reserve-seating tickets with my wife at the Alamo Drafthouse theatre here in Denver, Colorado, USA for the day-early showing(well, for the US anyway) on Nov. 5th! It's a very nice theatre that has servers for food and drinks(Vespers WILL be had.) ahead of the showing. I also appreciate that this particular cinema has strict rules about cellphones as well!
    Yes...considerably...

I'm going to see Spectre on the the opening night at the IMAX in Cape Town. Unfortunately, the opening night in South Africa is still more than a month away, on the 27th of November. :#

I received an email saying that Vue cinemas are having 24 hour showings. So I was a bit peeved that I'd already bought a ticket for 11am on the 27th. So I decided to purchase a ticket for 7am. Finishes at 9:50am. Is it wrong to watch it back to back with an hour in between? :D
