Live and Let Die Homages in Spectre

If you've seen the Spectre trailers you may have picked up one or two LALD references in Spectre.
Most obviously, Bond wearing full Black outfit like Moore did.
And also Bond and Swann on the train, clearly in a romantic embrace.
Craig and Mendes both admitted to liking LALD, I think it was Craig's first one he saw.
They also did something similiar with the lizard scene in Skyfall.
thoughts?

Bond's crombie coat in navy with the velvet collar is like a single-breasted version of the double-breasted chesterfield in Live and Let Die. Though the bridge coat at the funeral in Spectre and the coat in Live and Let Die are both double-breasted, they are very, very different coats.
I was just talking with a coworker this morning about how I would love to see Craig do a remake/retelling of the story line (since we've restarted the character with Casino Royale) with Idris Elba as Mr Big. He would make an incredible villain. And I mean a full out, in Bond's face, scraping and fighting with Bond once the henchman is eliminated villain, after bringing Bond's world down. Like having Quarrel killed (Yes we need to see Quarrel brought back) or Strangeway or the gruesome torture of Leiter.
If there really is a Santa.........................
I forgot that connection, I couldn't forget Baron Samedi!
Well spotting -{
And the homages are definitely well-deserved. Roger Moore needs some more love and LALD, to me, is an under-appreciated film.

Never under appreciated with me my friend. LALD is perhaps my favourite Bond film! And echoing what has been said before, please please please let Idris Elba be the mainVillain in Bond 25 :007)
McCartney was a big Bond fan from the beginning. He bought his Aston Martin just after watching GF. Also, in the 70s he didn't want to use lasers for Wings shows because "they could cut you in half, as in GF" ) I guess it must have been cool hearing James Bond mention your band in the movie!
I will write Santa too with that exact same wish. I could actually send your post verbatim.
