for me ot's definitely FYEO. I always found it very weak and dull in comparison to others but in the last time I really learnt to like it...
As a matter of fact I'm watching it right now

(Despite that song, of course)
But ultimately, I think QoS wins this one for me. For many it will be OHMSS, but since that was my favourite Fleming novel, I was on board with that one from the first viewing :007)
"I am not an entrant in the Shakespeare Stakes." - Ian Fleming
"Screw 'em." - Daniel Craig, The Best James Bond EverTM
Still hoping one day that'll happen to me too, honestly!

I guess I'm a slow learner.

However I would have to say DAD is the one that went from Cinema disappointment, to an enjoyable light jaunt on DVD.
"Better make that two."
But, over the years, I have grown to appreciate it more. And while it is not that high in my bond list still, it is A LOT higher than previously and I now quite like it and think it's the second best Brosnan film (Only just beating TND though). But speaking of TND... that's also another grower for me.
1 - Moore, 2 - Dalton, 3 - Craig, 4 - Connery, 5 - Brosnan, 6 - Lazenby

For the longest time I could not understand the hype it got, and why it was the favourite of many Bond fans.
I tried watching it a few times when I was younger, and found it too slow and a bit dull, so I never really got further than the first half.
Now I love it, and it sits in my top 10.
Im pleased that it is getting the love it deserves -{

The 007 films that have seen increased popularity with me lately are:
QoS: I never hated this movie like most fans! I have come to really appreciate Craig's performance as the closest I have yet seen to Fleming's Bond. (The way I imagine him anyway) Easily my favorite of the DC era so far.
DAD: Enjoyed this one in the theatre and then later dismissed it completely as the worst ever Bond film. Now I like the first hour immensely and can appreciate certain parts of the second half - namely the ice palace and the car chase.
TMWTGG: Great to see Roger as such a hard-edged cruel Bond. Much like DAD, a very solid first half and a very mixed second half. I am becoming more forgiving lately…
TND: Used to think of it as a significant drop in quality over the masterpiece Goldeneye. Now, the tables have turned and TND feels like the better film.

He does deserve credit for that, after Lazenby tried to pretty much imitate Connery with mixed results and reviews.
Moore decided to try and make it his own, and go in a different direction. I always admired Roger for the way he did that, it was a bold move and I think he succeeded splendidly -{
I also love the way that he has never taken the whole thing too seriously, and is genuinely honoured to have been a part of it
You're giving too much credit to Moore. I don't think he decided to go in any direction since he just played Bond in a very natural way. He neither tried to copy Connery nor tried to make Bond different from Connery. His Bond was just like his Simon Templar and Brett Sinclair characters. Moore just played the same character he always plays. I don't mean to criticise him, because Moore is my favourite Bond. Credit should go more to the writers since the character was written differently than Moore's characters.
Same for me.
I agree. Using that logic, the same criticism should go towards the writers/producers etc. who tried to make Lazenby like Connery.
I don't think Moore would've come up with the decision in LALD to order bourbon not a martini. -{

Furthermore, Tiger Tanaka may just be the coolest “local contact” character of any Bond flick, and the setting and locations are phenomenal. Bond in Japan? How can you not love that? I’d put it my top 5 Bond films.
As for DAD, I enjoy it in a “so bad it’s good” way, much like MR.
Bond: Pierce Brosnan Villain: Hugo Drax Girl: Pam Bouvier
Bond: “I must be dreaming.”
But more recently I would have to say OP. The whole film is a blast from start to finish that both looks and sounds amazing. -{
