I think Bond was expecting to be picked up, they knew Bond was coming as they out Hinx on the train.
John Logan-screenwriter in the Titan Book compilation of Spectre comic strips from 1961 onwards says that -
SPECTRE should be a constant frightening menace, where you don't know who to trust. (in the film story.)
Has anybody mentioned, (FRWL wason TV this week) - Is the Rolls Royce of Kerim Bay's that ferries Bond around in Istanbul,
the same vehicle that picks up DC and Madeleine in the Spectre film?
Or are they two completely different models?
Still wondering as to how at the hotel in Morocco, Madeleine fell asleep wearing her dress, only to wake up later on when Bond was breaking into the wall and she has magically changed her clothes.. )
Just noticed another small homage in SPECTRE (not sure if anyone else has picked up in it). In Altausee when Bond is in Mr White's log cabin (? ) ), he opens the hidden door to the basement by running his fingers across the top of the doorframe - much like Lazenvy does in OHMSS to escape his room in Piz Gloria to visit Ruby. -{
-The programmed music in the DB10. Was 009, the car's intended recipient, being sent on an assignment to New York? -OR- Was it another lesser-known Bond reference; 007 in New York?
Frank Sinatra was playing, apparently a good friend of Cubby Broccoli, so it was a nod to CB. This is according to an online review I read.
Apologies if anyone else has already picked this up, but I also took it to be a nod to the Matt Helm films, in which a running gag was secret agent Dean Martin's playful poo-pooing of the talents of rival/fellow brat-packer Sinatra.
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

I knew it had been mentioned before
just reminded me of how oddjob looked up at the mirror that tricked bond into parking the db5 through the wall in Goldfinger.

I never saw that connection. Classic scene remade into a modern one. Awesome!

Bleuville.
Not to get political or anything, but I can't tell the difference between Red Grant and Republican Vice Presidential Nominee Mike Pence anymore.
