Train fights - Best to Worst

1. SP - Hinx vs Bond
This one has by far the most energy, it feels more polished, it's quick moving but gets lots of good action in.
2. SF - Patrice vs Bond
A throwback to OP, this rooftop fight feels like the biggest train fight yet, involving a digger tearing the back of a carriage off and it's nice and rare to see Bond lose.
3. OP - Gobinda and Grishcka vs Bond
Another rooftop one, the entire sequence involving the train in the film is fantastic.
4. FRWL - Grant vs Bond
The original, and by far the best part of FRWL. It's got energy, it's tense and iconic.
5. TSWLM - Jaws vs Bond
A good fight scene, if not a bit short. Plenty could have been done with this, but it just ends as quickly as it begins.
6. LALD - Tee Hee vs Bond
By far the weakest of them, there's just nothing to it. It just feels empty, nothing memorable happens, there's nothing iconic, it just bland.

1. FRWL (suspense, fight, Grant+007 exchange)
2. OP (driving MB on the rail track, fight on top of the train, the sequences involving Orlov w/ him getting shot trying to run after the train, etc.)
3. SF (Bond jumps on to the train, the way he enters it, fight sequence on top of the train w/ Bond getting shot)
4. SP (fight in train, exchanges with Swann)
TSWLM and LALD's sequences are too short to be counted. It would be like counting the end of DAF as the ship sequence or the fight on plane in GF in a list of plane sequences
2) FRWL fight - Gripping to this day.
3) SP fight - A fun throwback.
4) L&LD fight - Fun to watch. Love Roger's one-liner: "Just being disarming, darling.".
5) SF fight: It's memorable enough, particularly the moment when Moneypenny shoots Bond.
5) OP fight: I love OP, but this fight just doesn't stick out much for me.
New 2020 ranking (for now DAF and FYEO keep their previous placements)
1. TLD 2. TND 3. GF 4. TSWLM 5. TWINE 6. OHMSS 7. LtK 8. TMWTGG 9. L&LD 10. YOLT 11. DAD 12. QoS 13. DN 14. GE 15. SF 16. OP 17. MR 18. AVTAK 19. TB 20. FRWL 21. CR 22. FYEO 23. DAF (SP to be included later)
Bond actors to be re-ranked later
2. OP - Really suspenseful!
3. SP - A highlight of the film, but wish it was more like FRWL and not so much like TSWLM.
4. TSWLM - Cool fight, but quick. The shot of Jaws in the closet is fantastic!
Far below the others:
5. SF - Agent Eve, M and Thomas Newman ruin it. If it was just Bond and Patrice it would have been much better.
6. LALD - Weak fight, only there to get rid of Tee Hee
My favourites though are were you know it's impossible for Bond to beat his assailant without help.
So with that in mind I prefer the fights with Grant, Hinx, Jaws and Tee Hee the best.
The fight with Red Grant is my favourite and remembering it was filmed in 1963 it has stood the test of time brilliantly.
It's 52 years ago and I wonder what the Bond fans of 2067 will think of the Hinx fight scene.
It's got a great chance to still be iconic I must say, as a footnote I have to say I won't be here thats for sure.
"Do you expect me to talk? "No Mister Bond I expect you to die"

would have made in the 60s. ) but the Train fight in SP, is excellent. Craig
looks to be getting the sh*t kicked out of him, and by moving to the kitchen, is
almost showing that he's given everthing and can't put Hinx down, so is almost
trying to get away from him to gain a little recovery time. {[] Fantastic stuff.
1. Dalton 2. Moore 3. Connery 4. Lazenby 5. Craig 6. Brosnan
2) SP - Underrated, but I love it. The lack of music, and Bond nearly being killed by a psycho assassin is enjoyable.
3) SF - A fight on top of a train is always memorable, especially just before the title sequence.
4) TSWLM - Personal preference, and while it is not great, Jaws certainly made the scene memorable.
5) OP - It's good, but doesn't have the power that SF had,
6) LALD - Awful. I would go as far as to say this is one of the worst action scenes in Bond.

1) FRWL - Not much that hasn't been said about the fight itself - iconic, influential and very well shot and edited. The fact that the fight is the climax of a wonderful and suspenseful sequence of the film on the Orient Express also gives it extra points.
2) OP - I enjoy the scale of this one, involving rooftop fighting, hanging on the side of the train and even underneath it. I also love the great helicopter shots giving a nice perspective on the action.
3) SF - A very polished and action packed sequence. Great moment when Bond runs across the digger arm and leaps into the coach before adjusting his cuffs. Great dramatic ending to the sequence as well.
4) TSWLM - the moment of Jaws' reveal in the cupboard is what makes this one stand out for me. A wonderful, terrifying moment. I also love it when Bond uses the light to electrocute Jaws' teeth.
5) SP - A very tough, brutal fight but it doesn't grab me as much the higher ranked ones. It feels a little empty to me, a bit like the Rome car chase. It's hard to criticize it from a technical point of view, but it seems to lack a certain something in my opinion. I do enjoy the moment when Hinx is ejected from the train. Feels like a classic Bond moment.
6) LALD - A lot weaker than the other fights mentioned here, but it has one or two nice moments (of the lighthearted variety.)
SP - Fast, vicious and exciting
SF - Excellent
TSWLM - Good because it was before Jaws became a comicbook character
OP - Well choreographed but obvious body doubles take away any real excitement
LALD - Modest but ties up the ending nicely
