How do you watch Bond movies at home?

chrisisallchrisisall Western Mass, USAPosts: 9,062MI6 Agent
To me, there are two types...
The throw it on whenever I have a couple of hours or watch on TV whenever, or the it has to be when I can make it a small event types.
I can't watch a Bond movie as a lark- it has to be when I will be devoid of interruption, and certainly not online when pop-ups or alerts will encroach. Blu Ray or DVD ONLY. Preferably when the family units are asleep and I have the following day off from work. Popcorn a plus. -{

How about you?
Dalton & Connery rule. Brozz was cool.

    I usually do it when the work is done and there is nothing to distract me. Normally in the evening, preferably when everyone else is asleep. Not a fan of popcorn, but a good beer or wine make the whole experience better. I will even occasionally switch to the 3D mode! :)

    When I m watching the iconic Bonds, I like to watch them in peace and quiet. For other rest, I m flexible

    I live in a flat and have flatmates so I avoid watching them in a public place with non-fans :))

    So I usually watch them in my room with my girlfriend - who loves JB too.

    The best place for me to watch them is at the holiday house, just feels like the "main event" because I'll only take one that I've planned for a long time!

    Guess what, go to Georgia's (nation south of Russia) website (REMOVED)* and type in any Bond movie title and even Bond actor's non-Bond movies with English letters and watch it for FREE! There's also a language menu on the video screen and click ENG for English. Watch it before it's taken down! But no Spectre yet in that website.

    NOTE: Not all Bond movies have an English language option, some of them are either in Russian or Georgian.

    *Website removed - AJB doesn't condone piracy.

    them via chrome cast.

    I've often wondered, is the 3d much of a benefit watching the films.

    Typically whenever im in the mood for it Ill throw one in. I have the 50th anniversary edition so I can choose from whatever.

    The other night I was deciding between CR and OHMSS. Chose OHMSS. Amazing that they are close to 40 years apart and I struggled which fantastic film I wanted to watch. -{

    :)) OHMSS and CR are my #1 & #2 Bond films. {[]

    You chose the better film! Better directing, better acting, better pacing, better fights, better action, better dialogue, better sets, better costume, better music.

    55 inch 3D Samsung TV. Has to be Blu-ray. Though I can have them on in the background or put down my phone and delve in to them again.

    How do I watch JB films?

    With my James Bond and Pussy Galore action figures, of course.

    Doesn't everybody?

    I tend to watch the Bonds alone on DVD. I fear I would be an unsufferable bore to watch them with for non-fans, spurting out random facts and digressions :#

    It's not a huge benefit, but nice to do something different for a change.

    True -{
    I've always wondered if 3d would add much to the films.
    Especially as they have become a lot cheaper.

    Rarely as they are ingrained/etched in my Cortex. When I do it tends to be the same few films (OHMSS, FRWL,TB and the Daltons+ CR ) with Mrs Zaphod ( true Bondgirl fan) on Blue Ray and in surround via Bang & Olufsen rig. Usually with snacks and now the puppy (Emma ) on the sofa. Cheesy I know, but very happy.

    I'll happily watch them anywhere, anytime and with anybody. I always enjoy introducing people to Bond films that they've never seen before. Typically at home I watch them in the lead up to a new Bond film coming out, and in the intervening time between Bond films I watch a random one every now and then if the mood takes me. And sometimes I just dip into a Bond film with no intention of watching the whole thing, but just watch a couple of favourite scenes.

    In the run up to SPECTRE I watched all 23 Bonds on blu-ray with my fiancée who really got into them and loved the new film when we went to watch it together.
