What's the closest thing to an early 90's bond film in your opinion?
It's blatantly between LTK and GE.
I would say LTK, because, if released 1 year later, it would be 1990. Also, I think the first home release of LTK came out in 1990.
Whereas if GE was made 1 year earlier.... 1994 would still be classed as mid-90's IMO.

They are very different films, there's no question about that. But which feels more like an early 90s film?
YouTuber Alan Caylow expressed that LtK feels like an episode of Miami Vice (a popular TV show in the 80s).
Plus, those of us who have seen Scarface can find some degree of similarity between that film and LtK.
GE, on the other hand, I can associate with the sort of heavy action one can see in the first two Terminator movies, as well as the first Die Hard film and the first 3 Rambo films (I think a thread could be opened comparing and contrasting Rambo III with TLD, as both deal with the Soviet-Afghan War).
Overall, I'd say GE is closer to being an early 90's film because LtK, while having been released in 1989, feels more 80s-ish than 90s-ish imo.
New 2020 ranking (for now DAF and FYEO keep their previous placements)
1. TLD 2. TND 3. GF 4. TSWLM 5. TWINE 6. OHMSS 7. LtK 8. TMWTGG 9. L&LD 10. YOLT 11. DAD 12. QoS 13. DN 14. GE 15. SF 16. OP 17. MR 18. AVTAK 19. TB 20. FRWL 21. CR 22. FYEO 23. DAF (SP to be included later)
Bond actors to be re-ranked later
GE to me is very mid-90s, I don't get the early-90s feel from it at all as much as I do with a film like Heat or Basic Instinct.
It would be cool if there was a very stylish early-90s Bond film, personally I really enjoy films released in the mid-90s because of the look and feel of them.
"Better make that two."
