NFL games in London

So, I'm American. But I want to know if anyone in London likes NFL football. Sorry, we keep sending you the Jaguars. :))

There's four guys from where I work travel down to London to watch these games - we are based in the North West of England...I used to enjoy watching the live games on tv - but they just go on too long !
I'm assuming the Jaguars keep coming over because the owner also owns Fulham FC

I also have a few mates who go!

What do you Americans (and NFL players) think of this?? I guess its good promotion but do the clubs really need the money??

I also love watching it and find the passing accuracy and speed unbelievable but the breaks in play etc get a little too much for me and wow the games are very long due to this

I'm intrigued that there's an audience for it there! But I'm happy there is :)

I enjoy the NFL...but am more of a baseball fan. The NFL helps pass the time in-between baseball seasons!

The LAST thing the team owners need is money! I'll be visiting my father in Arizona over Christmas and we talked about taking in a Cardinals game. . .but seats in the "nosebleed" section--high above the action--are well over $200! Plus, the owners are notorious for holding cities hostage. . .they will threaten to leave unless the city pays for a new state-of-the-art arena. . .for which the team owners get most of the ticket revenues. It's really a brutal business, but, dammit all, I do enjoy it. . .

I think they are just trying to create more global fans. I'd like to see a permanent team in London some time in the future if there is a real fan base there. I don't think all the players like the jet lag associated with the trip.

My wife gets annoyed that they take so long between plays. She would rather watch constant action. But I like the strategy that goes into every play.

I think football is a great sport for casual fans, because you only need to commit 3 hours per week to see every game. And with only 16 games in the regular season, most teams aren't eliminated from playoff contention until late in the season. Even the Jaguars could still make the playoffs this year. So it's always exciting no matter which team you cheer for.

I see the NFL are now committed to 8 games in London a season...I doubt the demand will be there for that many games...

I tried to get tickets for the NBA game in January last year. Sold out within minutes. Wish they would do more of them. I might head down for the Redskins game. As it's my mates favourite team.
