Which style do you prefer? Do you prefer the 60s and 70s trailers with the enthusiastic VO, but it reveals a lot of the film? Or do you prefer the contempory trailers without the VO and not showing a lot of the film?
Have you ever heard of the Emancipation Proclamation?"
" I don't listen to hip hop!"
" I don't listen to hip hop!"

I agree with Millenium Force - the old ones are awful.
The Goldeneye teaser trailer is epic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AN1bkIEs8oo
"Better make that two."
I like the old trailers because of the bright colours and visuals. I don't like how they give away so much of the film.
The new trailers don't do that. I'm in two minds about which style i prefer.
" I don't listen to hip hop!"
" I don't listen to hip hop!"
It's that sort of accent that is unheard of nowadays.
" I don't listen to hip hop!"
As much as I hate the trailer cliche of fading to black every few seconds, The modern ones are far superior. Now the movies? That's different.
I'm so glad I saw most of the pre-70s movies before I saw the trailer, because I would have been a little frustrated. The older trailers may not explain every important scene, but the best bits of the movie are always clearly shown in the trailer. Don't get me wrong, I love the dramatic voice over, especially in the Connery-films
One thing I love about the older Bond films, (Moore movies in particular) is how they exist larger than life, and just outside the reaches of reality, but not too unrealistic it seems un-Bond like *cough* Moonraker *cough*
The thing about the older trailers, is that they spoil everything! I love going into a Bond movie especially not knowing what to expect.
tl;dr I like the new trailers better )
1. Roger 2. Timmy 3. Connery 4. Craig 5. George 6. Pierce
Yes, all very proper accents - "received pronunciation" (RP) don't you know!
I agree in that the old trailers had more charm to them but then I'm old fashioned if not old (31).
I tend to like the older trailers. Didn't Maurice Binder pierce them together?
I actually don't know but it would be great to find out if he did. Perhaps the film editors put them together?
