Hinx train fight

Has the lack of anyone else at all on the train during the Hinx fight been discussed yet?

    Yes ;)
I've watched it a few times now and there are only a handful of people on it
anyway, at times during the fight you can see a few in the background, as they
    remove themselves from the fracas.
My thoughts on the fight, is that it's clearly meant to evoke memories of the
train fight in FRWL ? Only opening it out a bit more for an " Action orientated "
Contemporary audience. An attempt to capture the claustrophobic atmosphere
of the Bond v Grant fight, while moving it across a larger stage.
Another idea I thought was that maybe. It was a way of showing Bond's thought
Process I.e. his total consideration is on the fight, a fight for his life, hence we don't
see anything other than him and his opponent ?
All just guesses on my part :D

I guess there is little demand for luxury train travel in the Sahara :p

If Nigel Farage had have filmed it, the fight would have been on top
and under the train, having to dodge past illegal immirgrants :D

I find that it evokes the fight in TSWLM far more than the fight in FRWL. A lot of the same things happen in the SP fight that happen in the TSWLM fight.

Maybe they all scarpered when they saw this extremely violent fight going on.

    I know I would have.

Doesn't explain why Bond wasn't presented with a bill for all the damages. But that's the Bond universe. Stuff that would get anybody else in a lot of trouble doesn't affect Bond.

One coat of primer, two layers of undercoat and lastly a Gloss Gold finishing coat. ;)
With a good rub down with sandpaper between coats.

You'd think Bond would be a suspected serial killer with all the girls who die right after he sleeps with them. :p

My thoughts exactly. I also feel like if I saw that big brute and DC fighting through the train I would be hiding/getting out of the way as best as I could.

Well, there are other diners, and then when Hinx arrives there are none, and zero staff in the kitchen (or at all).

I dunno, I noticed it and it was annoying.

More annoying, was Hinx first and only word being "****".

I was going to ask if you watched a kid's version, but I see in the quote that this forum changes the word. That's amusing.

I too would rather have had Hinx say nothing throughout the film. :)

Oy, this nitpick. The action is (rightly) focused on the people fighting, but if for some unknown reason you look at the edges of the frame during the parts when you're supposed to, you know, be watching the fight, then yes, you can see bystanders.

I once made the mistake of pointing out to Mrs TP, when she mentioned
Something about watching the same Bond so many times ! How much time
She spent watching Emmerdale, Corrie and EastEnders. .......... Big mistake ! :))

:)) I've done the same....and people complain about the scripts in bond films?!? Obviously never seen a British soap! We have an understanding in my house now, I cook Sunday dinner and it's become customary for me to watch a bond film while cooking..... And usually joined by a 6year old girl and my 15 month old boy who loves the bond theme.....the wife gets to watch scummerdale and old cronenation St by herself.

It's a necessary precaution, though the forum prides itself on the loyalty and devotion of its members.
