Not a great idea, I think. One also wonders who the spin-offs would be about? Felix Leiter, Moneypenny, M?
The whole MI6 crew? Mr Mendel?

Probably other 00s. This smells false, though, because aside from Marvel every shared universe idea in Hollywood is dying a dog's death.

Perhaps, but Marvel and DC are really the only ones who have the right (and library size) to make it.

Fun fact: BvS has been briefly discussed here as having a very Skyfall atmosphere and on Iconic Alternatives, but I must say that it has all the signs of QoS syndrome: big budget, beautiful visuals, eye catching clothes (for my AJB007 memorabilia friends), big box office returns, critical drubbing, massive plot criticisms, and finally, people actually eventually coming around upon giving the film a second chance only to see that it's actually not as bad as they thought (or wanted?) it to be, and is pretty darn good.

This whole idea of a Bond universe reminds me of what Sony wanted a few years ago (a shared Spider-Man cinematic universe) and what Paramount is trying to do by bringing Transformers together with other Hasbro toys to create some sort of Hasbro shared universe IIRC.

Sony was considering an Aunt May spinoff movie as one of its films of the universe. LOL how's that for bottom of the barrel desperation?

While I must admit I'll watch and read anything Bond, the beauty of Bond is that we get a movie once every 3-4 years, a long enough time to create demand and satiate our appetite and pour through the Bond films at least once, whether on DVD\Blu-Ray or on cable during the holidays. Bond would be less "special" if there was a mini-series, a spin-off focusing on other 00s, an M origin story movie, a Tanner miniseries, a 6 season Q show on Netflix, a 2 season Moneypenny show, etc. It will dilute the uniqueness and special feeling of Bond to focus on side characters, whereas Batman, Superman, Cap, Spidey, Iron Man, Hulk, are all their own primary heroes.

No better feeling than watching the trailer for the upcoming Bond film on a big screen, knowing it happens only once every couple of years.

So please, BB+MGW, just make one movie every 2-3 years, and that would be perfect. None of this universe crap.

P.S. Read about what's going on with the Han Solo origin movie (that, at least to me, sounded like a lame cash-in idea from the start.)
    Yes. Consssssiderably.

Comic publisher Dynamite has a Moneypenny one shot comic book out in August. First time the character has been given the comic book treatment:
On sale in stories on August 30, James Bond: Moneypenny focuses on the iconic character Moneypenny and how she finds herself on what’s supposed to be a routine protection mission. Everything goes awry when she discovers an assassination plot that has a striking resemblance to a life-changing terrorist attack from her childhood. It’s then up to her to take matters into her own hands.

If Dynamite had shares in the Bond franchise they'd probably be making spin-off Bond films. :D

The watch, unfortunately, is garbage. Just more "limited edition" churn by Omega. 8-)

It just popped up on the official Bond Facebook page. To be honest I'm not a huge fan of the color scheme, I cant really picture Bond wearing it. Which is a shame because "the commander" is the best name for a Bond watch I've seen.

It's a new version of Bond's Spectre watch. Though instead of a bomb, it shoots fireworks. :))

I suppose someone must buy these monstrosities or they wouldn't keep releasing them? I love how they call it a "limited edition" and then release seven thousand of them. :))

Mmm I really struggle to accept the legitimacy of articles that use the classic DC/Bond tabloid nonsense "Daniel Craig has changed his mind...The actor, 48, claimed he would “rather slash my wrists” than play 007 again..." as well as the great "Idris Elba and Tom Hardy were contenders". 8-)

UK people, how reputable is The Mirror generally? Looking at the home page it looks like junk.

It's tabloid gutter press its the sort of paper that will dedicate 4 pages to an ex big brother contestant and half a page to North Korea firing a missile at the USA.
I also wish they'd use some accuracy, DC has never quit, Sean connery changed his mind and came back, DC has never left, that " slash my own wrists" must be one of the most misquoted things any celebrity has ever said. With SPECTRE being my favourite Bond film since GoldenEye I can live with Daniel Craig being back for one last time, again after a three year gap if not four.

If it's a new actor then that's splendid. The sooner people realise Craig isn't any better than his predecessors the better, and that will only happen once there is an established new Bond actor.

I just hope Bond 25, if with Craig, will be a standalone mission without ANY connections to the other four films. And it better be a proper Bond film like SPECTRE, so Craig at least has two Bond films that also feel and look like it.
