I see that principal photography has started on the latest Avengers movie and is expected to last through November (they may be shooting two movies back-to-back). Hiddleston apparently has a major role as some sort of god or something.

If Bond 25 were to start filming this year wouldn't that rule out Hiddleston as Bond?

    Chances are we will not see a lot of Loki in the new Avengers movies. The roster is pretty impressive anyway, so there is no chance he has a major role. Shooting might take place up until November but Hiddleston might be free this month - who knows. -{

Hiddleston/Loki apparently is not featured in Avengers Infinity War. He is not listed in the full cast credits on IMDB. At most, he may have a small cameo but most likely not. He is a major part of the next Thor movie but filming has wrapped on that one. The only thing that Hiddleston has on his schedule for 2018 is doing a voice in an animated feature.

While Hiddlestone's open scedule in 2018 makes it possible for him to make a Bond movie next year, it doesn't tell us much more than that. Aidan Turner, Michael Fassbender, Tom Hardy, Idris Elba, James Norton, Rupert Friend and Luke Evans are among many actors who has nothing on their scedule for 2018.

Yes that's true but Hiddleston has been the hot name (along with Turner of course) and in our Bond news starved state it doesn't take much to get a conversation started. Rupert Friend is committed to Homeland but the more I see of him on the current season the more I am impressed with him as an actor and a potential Bond.

The polls on this forum showed beyond any doubt that he's the most popular candidate. I think he's a good candidate, but not the best. My point was that we can't really read anything into the fact that he has a lot of spare time in 2018, because most other candidates do too.

But how many of those 'other candidates' have been screentested and offered a contract ? :v

These folks would beg to differ.

What I've read is that Loki starts out serving Thanos while having his own cunning plans and then working with the good guys to defeat Thanos.

Fassbender would be brilliant. But I am afraid he is already to big a star now. Same for Tom H, which in my opinion is less of a shame that he would not become Bond. Turner, Fassbender and Goode are my top choices.

    1. Connery 2. Craig 3. Brosnan 4. Dalton 5. Lazenby 6. Moore

I could be wrong (I am no expert on the Avengers Series) but that might be old news that apparently has changed. Look closely at the article...it appears to be from two years ago.

I would like Craig to return, do a final film, then throw the towel in. If not, my top choices would be Aidan Turner or Dan Stevens.

Yeah, I know when it was written. We'll just have to wait and see how it works out.

My first choice would be for Craig to come back for one more. If that doesn't happen, I'd be fine with Hiddleston or Turner. Fassbender would be great but I just don't think it's realistic. Goode isn't on my list. I think he's an excellent actor but just doesn't do it for me as Bond. For me, Goode falls into the category of "he's tall, British, looks great in a suit so he could be a great Bond". There's much more to it than that.

Not sure if you guys have noticed on a clothes thread here - Floris have told an ajb member that their perfume will feature in the next movie which one would normally take with a pinch of salt etc however it appears to be backed up by ASPs inside information (prop guy)

Along with the Croatia news it has been an interesting week. Im not suprised they are sorting locations however props? EON must be far more ahead then we think despite them being on a "break"

I am guessing even when on a break, the script or outline is in draft for the next (if I recall they were thinking of two back to back last time but decided against it). Then the locations scouts go out to marry script and locations, then comes the attire, vehicles and accessories when you know what you are planning for location wise. Finally add actors and final sweep of the scripts job done. Must be my Project Management experience kicking in! :))

If you think back to some shots like Horse Race in Quantum or building the barn in Austria these commenced a whole year out from filming (so watch for any film crew in odd locations or familiar faces on airline passenger lists). So timing could be about right.

I am actually looking forward to the next one - I hope DC does fulfill the 'last one' might be good to see him actually hand over to his 007 status to his replacement as her earns his 'two kills' (maybe on a joint Op - with Bond coming to terms he cannot go on forever - 'its a young mans game' still ringing in his ears). Then doffs his cap as he heads off in the DB5 into the sunset with the latest Doris - all the old ones being dead less Ms Swann (could always bring him back in a later story maybe).

I actually thought why not promote Q give him a shot or Moneypenny as she has field agent experience anyway - just some OOB thinking after all they killed off the next best agent Mr Silva

    Cheers :007)

I am not really suprised about location but more about the prop info which I would presume means either very detailed script (rather then a rough outline) or I guess advanced product placement deals

If you assume a 2019 Bond 25 release (which I believe is a reasonable best case scenario) then Infinity War makes no difference to whether Hiddleston will be available. Personally, I have no idea who will play Bond next (except I doubt it will be Craig) or when Bond 25 will be released (except I very much doubt it will be 2018).

Lets no forget for SPECTRE roughly it was pre work starting with building work Oct 14 with announcement in Nov14, filming in Dec 14 through Jul 15 (total 128 days) and then all set by Oct 15. So a release within 2018 is possible if pre work has already started
