But I had a brilliant idea a couple of posts ago of setting parts of Bond 25 in the Arctic, ideally with a scene featuring a submarine surfacing. I want attention for my idea and ME! ATTENTION!! ME! ME! X-(
A bit like Ice Station Zebra (Alastair Maclean book and film from 1968.)
Perhaps SPECTRE could be hiding out on a snowy island and grabbing sea bed minerals.
Thank you. Weapons in space is very Bondian and this would be a realistic and new way of doing it, and it doesn't involve hacking. I can imagine North Korea and SPECTRE in a bidding war to get hold of this. SPECTRE would of course use it to blackmail the UK to release Blofeld.
Purvis, Wade get on it.
They have a DAF kink so it could work quite well for them.
This is my first post on the forum, so hello everybody!
As for the topic, since Craig recently announced he is returning for at least one more, I'd like to see the next one pick up with Madeline's murder by Blofeld (or at least on his orders), setting up a good revenge story ending with Blofeld's demise and SPECTRE finally dismantled.
While I've been wrong more times than right, I really don't see Craig doing any more after this one. With this one being the 25th, it would be a good opportunity to tie up all the loose ends from the Craig era so the torch can be passed to the next Bond, which will hopefully go more toward the lone wolf villains, similar to the likes of Goldfinger, Stromberg, Drax, and the villains of the Dalton/Brosnan eras.
My lawnmover, or "plastic goat" as I like to call it, is driving Randomly around on the lawn.this gave me an idea. Such a device could be ekspedisjon with remote steering and a bomb, making it a fine assassination weapon! I was obviously thinking of my personal use and not as a plot device
It's just the usual rumour that Bond will marry Madeleine, she gets murdered and Bond avenges her.
These rumours have been around for a while and has been debated here many times, Dufus.

My name has changed! I’m no longer dufus......now I’m DB6
Someone kidnaps Blofeld while he's on the phone to Bond.
Who tells the kidnapper about his unique skills, before
Setting out to get his foster brother back ?
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."

As a bit of an intellectual, listening to bbc radio 4 yesterday. There was one of those science chaps
talking about the bacteria in our bodies, and how at times They control us ! . By releasing various
chemicals into us, perhaps for potassium, next thing we fancy having a banana.
I immediately thought of some super villian using genetics to breed a super bacteria to control the
worlds population. ............... Might suit Kingsman 3 more.
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
What about this for a PTS? Not overly original but neither was the finale of SP.
Spectre causes a city wide blackout throughout London. In the chaos, they raid Belmarsh Prison and free Blofeld.
.Don't bring Madeleine back. Bond mentions that it didn't work out between them.
.Bring Felix Leiter and Irma Bunt back.
.Spectre would have a truly sinister plot this time.
.Ignore the Oberhauser connection and Quantum retcon.
.The climax is at the Castle of Death.
.Have the final scene at a lavish casino. DC goes out the same way he came in.

shouldn't his final scene be in the bathroom then?
sorry, sorry everybody, I don't dislike Craig's films as much as I sometimes joke, its just that opportunity for a stoopid joke was lowhanging fruit
and technically, the casino scene in fact doesn't actually come til a full hour into Craig's first film
I do like all of the rest of your suggestions. Bond mentioning the relationship didn't work out is actually similar to Fleming, if we consider Bond appeared to be very serious about Tiffany Case at the end of one book, then explained to M she decided she'd prefer a more stable, responsible type at the beginning of the next book. A good, true-to-Fleming way of getting out of the relationship-bind.
and I do like the idea of the ending of the series being symmetrical with the beginning, especially if rumors are true that the Brocollis are selling the franchise. Except instead of reprising Craig's first scene, reprise Connery's. Oh wait, thatd be the casino too, that's not what I'm trying to say.
The whole You Only Live Twice/Garden of Death thing we have often discussed, I realise, would be extra tasty if this were really the last film in the series, because they would be concluding the whole series by going back to Fleming. Maybe pick another Fleming scene if needed, but it would be so much nicer to resolve the whole series with one last authentic Fleming scene than something made up.
Considering how Madeleine grew up, being the daughter of Mr. White, her absence could easily be explained away by Bond reflecting "We made a good go of it, but in the end, I couldn't live without the service and she couldn't go back to that kind of life again".
.The climax is at the Castle of Death.
.Have the final scene at a lavish casino. DC goes out the same way he came in.
thought about this some more, and realised you did describe the Castle of Death in your wish list. Do you imagine Bond is presumed dead and amnesiac, as in the book? or a more normal mission completed, then he goes to the casino?
because maybe the world does think he's dead, but instead of the Japanese fishing village, he's revealed alive but anonymous at some casino.
I speculated in another thread maybe the fishing village is too particular to Fleming's vision of paradise, and what would be a more film-series centric vision of paradise? maybe those casinos we keep seeing! he clearly enjoys that environment. and Connery, Lazenby, Brosnan and Craig all had casino scenes in their first films
how about this? castle explodes, Bond presumed dead, everybody mourns Bond for a few minutes and its very sad.
fade to black, pause...
...fade back into tight shot of a man's hands holding cards at the casino. A woman is flirting with him. Camera pans up to reveal man's face, exact same camera movement as Dr No. It's Craig. But instead of saying his name (which maybe he's forgotten, but not how to gamble), he says...
"You know, The scent and smoke and sweat of a casino are nauseating at three in the morning".
Woman nods, Bond smiles, puts his hand on her shoulder and escorts her away from the table and up to his room. Roll credits.
Film-Bond vision of paradise, symmetrical with the film-series, symmetrical with Fleming.

I like your thinking except
1. Very similiar to the Dark Knight Rises ending.
2. "the smoke and sweat" line is an awesome book opening line, but not a line of dialogue Bond would say to a girl.

Just my two cents.
So you think James Bond's true love should get killed, just like OHMSS and CR?
Could you expand on that a bit?
Of course...............SPOILER ALERT!!!!!
Story can be found here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/films/2017/09/05/plot-leaks-new-james-bond-film-007-marry-bond-25/

"All The Single Agents"?
"Irreplaceable" would be appropriate.

.Concur. Irma could be the German lady speaking in the Spectre meet as it was originally supposed to happen.
.+1 (cuz "Concur" with everything is dull).
.Not sure about forgetting Quantum.
.Yes.
.Poster of CR with the DJ springs to mind. Would love for it to return, after he recovered it from Le Chiffre.
