Books about Bond-not the novels

Over the years I have bought lots of Books about the Bond Films and the Novels.
That is - reviews or facts about the films. e.g-The james Bond Bedside Companion by Raymond Benson.

I recently bought an interesting read -that has the usual information, but with chapters based around the 6 actors who've
played Bond. It is Bond Vs Bond by Paul Simpson and published by Race Point.
It has some behind-the-scenes photos and posters and paperback covers. It's quite colourful with re-phrased descriptions
of the film events and action. and printed on glossy paper-so smartly presented.

I'm reading Bond vs. Bond at the moment! I read only a few pages before bed, but it's quite refreshing! I like the survey it takes on all the kinds of media that Bond appeared in. For example, I've read not only the original Fleming books, but all of the continuation authors' books except for 1 unfinished Gardner, the Moneypenny Diaries and the other unauthorized novels...but of those I did read, it's been decades for many and it was nice to read a summary on those books. I'm about to start on the Connery chapter, "The Scottish Bond." I highly recommend this book and actually took a break from reading The James Bond Archives because the BvB book is a lot more concise and easier to handle while reclining in bed!

I got that particular book as a Christmas present to myself - it looks very good but sadly I've yet to read it.

At a pace of anywhere from 2 to 6 pages at bedtime, I'm almost at the end of Bond vs. Bond, which is very light reading. The author, Paul Simpson seems like a huge Bond fan and not just a hired writer. I really like the evaluation on the Bond character at the end of each 2 page segment, like " ...here, Bond can drive a manual transmission" or "Bond doesn't seem as knowledgeable about etc. etc. compared to recent movies..." However, so far, I found couple of mistakes, (1) in a section about Bond Villains, attributing SPECTRE as Goldfinger's boss/backer, and (2) In the CR section, calling the airport bomber "Patrice," though to give him the benefit of the doubt he says that's from the script; can anyone confirm if "Patrice" did appear in an earlier draft of the CR script only to be recycled for SF?
