Bond 25 Director

With Mendes stepping down, who would you like to see direct Bond 25?
I've had a few directors in mind:
Martin Campbell - revived the franchise twice with CR and GE, so after the mixed reception of SP, he seems like a good choice.
Matthew Vaughn - From Kingsman, he seems to understand the Bond formula and would be good for a Connery style Bond film in the modern era.
Christopher Nolan - He has said OHMSS is one of his favourite films, and he does like to use practical effects, but he's not really the best for an action film - he's known for using too much shaky cam and his action stuff is considered a weak point of the Dark Knoght trilogy. Plus, he's just started another big project, so it may be a while before he is free.
Russo Brothers - Considering their work with Capt. America, in creating a political spy thriller, they'd be perfect for a film like FRWL. They'd even be good for a film featuring SPECTRE; their treatment of Hydra in Winter Soldier is pretty good. Like Nolan, these guys are basically booked by Marvel until nearly the end of the decade, as they're directing the next two Avengers films, so it would be a long wait, with them probably not being free until 2018.
Steven Soderbergh - I loved the style of direction in the Oceans trilogy, where he brings a retro sense to a film set in modern times, and perfectly balances comedy into the films.
Alex Garland - The director of Ex Machina, so far his only film, but I think he could bring a unique style to Bond. And considering he has bought back Oscar Isaac for his next project, could we already have a potential villain actor?

I would also like to see:
David Yates (Harry Potter, State of Play) direct a Bond film. He can handle drama, action and humor -but also a huge production.
Joe Wright (Atonement, Hannah, Anna Karenina)
Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire, 28 days later, 127 Hours)
Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code, Warcraft)
James March (Man on Wire, Theory of Everything)
Steve McQeen (12 years a slave, Shame)
Both very talented, and well experienced in Action movies. I also
don't know that many directors.
David Yates - yes
Joe Wright - Yes - The one I would prefer
Danny Boyle -No
Duncan Jones- Yes
James March - No
Steve McQeen - No.
Q Tarantino - Double secret probation Hell no.
Matthew Vaughn - Yes
Guy Ritchie - Hell no

There's some news on the director front.
Not really news....more of an opinion because she directed episodes of The Night Manager.
She's American, but Katherine Bigelow might not be a bad choice. She is one of the better directors of "action thrillers".
"I am not an entrant in the Shakespeare Stakes." - Ian Fleming
"Screw 'em." - Daniel Craig, The Best James Bond EverTM
- Martin Campbell if we get another Bond film like Goldeneye.
- Susanne Bier, having just watched the first ep for The Night Manager. She would be great.
Who I definitely don't want:
Christopher Nolan
Danny Boyle.
Some might say that going with an established actor as Bond isn't EON's style, but now is the time to break routine.

Sadly, I doubt he could handle a modern Bond film at his age.
I must be the only person who never wants Martin Campbell again for Bond. He's only good for action scene and is terrible with scenes that have any substance.
I only want Campbell back if we get something like GE - a Bond film with a moody, European feel. Not an Americanised interpretation of James Bond as we got with CR.
Campbell did well with the dramatic scenes in GE IMO - the interrogation with Mishkin, Bond and Natalya on the beach and the 'I trusted you Alec' scene spring to mind.
Sounds perfect - sign him up -{
When will this pining for Nolan stop?
When he stops being a first-rate action dirctor who's a lso a Bond fan? :v
My take on Glen is that he's a workmanlike director. Given the right boundries and assest he will make a good movie on time and on budget, but he'll never make a truely great movie. This is why I wish Ridly Scott made LTK.
But he's not a first rate action director, and Bond shouldn't be considered an 'action' series. Plus, his films are colourless, soulless and humourless, so we'd get an anaemic Bond film if he was to direct one.
