It's a pity Shatterhand is working title as would have liked it for real title. Gunthrum Shatterhand could be the name of say Mark Strong character( so hope he is in it) whose Blofelds second in command and is the main villain.

I've been in favor for Shatterhand since the first rumors of this popped up as early as 2016. I would still love it! Hopefully, it's not long now untill we get the title confirmation...

I'm a big fan of The Garden of Death for the title, but I'd be more than ok with Shatterhand. That being said, I'd be more than a bit surprised if Shatterhand is actually the title.

    If EON go with the 'S' trilogy I'd be happy with 'Shaken not Stirred' as a title. Easy marketing -{

One of those titles was “Death Leaves an Echo.” Does anyone know if EON has the rights to this title?

From what I understand, film and book titles cannot be copyrighted. So anyone can use that title--even you, should you wish to write a James Bond novel (though you'll have to publish it in Canada only).

"It Seems Like Forever" would be a good title and how I feel about how long it takes them to get Bond movies out.

As you may have seen in the news, the leaked working title is 'Eclipse'.

However, I am predicting the real title will be 'Ellipsis'.

I wouldn't mind a longer title. Bond is pretty much the only action franchise that uses long titles, but the longest CraigBond title so far is CR. "A Whisper of Hate" should be used at some point.
Elipsis is a better title than Eclipse, partly because Elipsis has no chick-lit connection (as far as I know)

When i heard the "eclipse title" i also thought of "ellipsis" and thought it was better.
I'm not sure it will be either title.
They've done so well to not reveal it so far id be suprised if they let it slip like this.

Isn't it time bond had a more glamous name like "diamonds are forever or from russia with love" or are those days over?

If the title is "eclipse" id be intrigued to know how it links to the plot.

Or maybe Mr Burns is the villain, blocking out the sun.

It could be related to the sun.

Quantum was the water taking inspiration from "Chinatown".

Without the sun the world would die.

Has bond villians done that before???

If the title is Eclipse it could be a plot about Solar Energy. It could be a Billionaire wanting sole control of the Solar Panel selling industry. Or wants to be the only person wanting to sell solar energy. Eclipse could be the company name or the Code Word for his whole scheme, similar to Goldfinger and operation Grand Slam. Operation Eclipse.

Or if the villian is about to launch an international spacecraft that blocks the sun from reaching the earth, they will be able to control others and be a supreme dictator.

Bond films have often had a space element, Dr No, YOLT, DAF, Moonraker, Goldeneye, and DAD. I could see that coming back if DC wants to bring back some Bondian elements to the story, and have a threat to the world rather than a computer network problem.

BTW I think Eclipse will be the title, I have a funny feeling.

I think I can safely reveal the title and plot: it’s actually:

    EUclipse

The evil EU is holding the Uk to ransom over funding payments for Sun and moon related project and Barnier.. ahem, Blofeld, plans thwart democracy. They even have a webpage already in place (this bit is true!):

The announced working title, 'Shatterhand' is one which a number of us have suggested on the forum at different points over a number of years, and I think it's good. It's Fleming, and as Blofeld's assumed name in the novel 'You Only Live Twice', it teases knowing Bond fans with the idea that the Blofeld of 'SPECTRE' may be involved in the new film. It would be even more Flemingesque to go for 'Dr Shatterhand', as in the novel, but the simple addition of 'Dr' might sound a bit too corny/retro to fly as the title for a new film.
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

There is something called the "black swan" theory. From Wikipedia: The black swan theory or theory of black swan events is a metaphor that describes an event that comes as a surprise, has a major effect, and is often inappropriately rationalized after the fact with the benefit of hindsight. The term is based on an ancient saying that presumed black swans did not exist – a saying that became reinterpreted to teach a different lesson after black swans were discovered in the wild.

Especially since Madeline Swann will be in the movie I would welcome the title:

    Black Swann
