Personally would be really happy with Shatterhand or Colonel Sun, not had a villains name for a title in years!

Shatterhand isnt easy to sing, I tried then gave up, I got stuck at "shat.... " not an easy thing to sing with a straight face, I had wrote a song called risico, then settled on...

'Never dream of dying' yes I know it probably wont be the title but as a song writing showcase I'm really pleased with the result, and yes its on youtube, uploaded yesterday, I'm a bond fan aswell obviously.

I asked earlier if anyone knew if Fleming was aware of Karl May and Old Shatterhand. If anyone replied I didn't catch it. Does anyone know?

that is a point, the parodys will write themselves with that syllable in the name, practically begging audiences to walk out of the theatre saying "well that was a fresh steaming pile of..."
but I like the title, and I read a probably-rumour-based article in the paper today claiming that indeed will be the title of Craig's next film
(probably the AJB007 mole again selling fakenews to the MSM)
    http://www.torontosun.com/2017/09/05/james-bond-in-love-will-reportedly-quit-secret-service-and-get-hitched-in-next-film

you know Octopussy was a title that also invited dirty jokes, and they of course not only used it, but gave the character an octopus shaped bed
but I believe that was the first main theme song to not use the movie's title as a lyric ... they could have done "and she strikes, (ba-rump-bump-bump), like an OctoooPussy!", yet for some reason they chose something completely different

here is the full text from todays article in the Toronto Sun, just in case my link above fails
James Bond will quit the secret service and get married in the next 007 film, according to reports.

Daniel Craig recently confirmed that he will be reprising his role as the suave spy in the 25th movie in the much-loved franchise. But bosses are reportedly planning something completely different for the next instalment, with sources telling the New York Post’s gossip column Page Six that “Bond quits the secret service, and he’s in love and gets married”.

It wouldn’t be the first time Bond has wed. He was also married to Diana Rigg’s character Tracy Bond in 1969 movie On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

However, things are given a dark twist in the upcoming film when his spouse is killed. The movie, reportedly called Shatterhand and due for release in November, 2019, is described by insiders as “like Taken with Bond”.

Liam Neeson starred as retired CIA agent Bryan Mills in Taken, which saw him travel the world trying to track down his kidnapped daughter and seek revenge on her captors.

Craig confirmed he would be returning to the Bond franchise during an interview on chat show The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last month.

When asked by host Colbert if he would be reprising the part of 007, Craig replied: “Yes... I always wanted to; I wanted a break. We’ve been discussing it, we’ve just been trying to figure things out.”

However, Craig also admitted that he’s likely to only play the role for one more movie, adding: “I think this is it. I just want to go out on a high note. I can’t wait.”

The 49-year-old actor has played suave spy 007 in the past four films in the franchise, but it had been rumoured he wouldn’t return for a fifth outing after saying he would rather “slash my wrists” than reprise the role.
have we seen this before? I'm presuming the Toronto Sun is reprinting something from elsewhere, as they are a pretty trashy paper
it sure does read as a pastiche of our typical speculations

While I personally like the title "Shatterhand" it is problematic. As mentioned before by other members, Shatterhand was the name of a Native American character in a very successful series of western books and movies made in Germany 19th century. Many would react as Americans would do if the title was "Tonto".

actually Shatterhand was the white guy played by Lex Barker and Native American was called Winnitou played by some French guy called Brice I think. Pretty sure the name was changed from Shatterhand to Old Surehand!

Sorry, I mixed them up. I doubt the series was very famous here, but I think Shatterhand was used in most countries. So the analogy would be "The Lone Ranger"?

I think The Death Collector would be a perfect title for a faithful YOLT telling. And I've got a great scheme for Blofeld :v

Totally up for this choice - a pun/twist title in the vein of LALD.

I also like the title without 'The'.

On a separate note, I really want to see Bond in a casino and actually doing some gambling for a minute or two in Bond 25 - something a little like the scene with Plenty would be fun.

I too like the title "The Death Collector". :007)

I think that was a different set of Karl May novels, but so far as I can gather the change was basically as they didn't have Lex Barker so they recast with Stewart Granger.

Shatterhand is a boring title. Just a poor man's Goldfinger. And we simply can't have 3 1-word S titles in a row. A bit of variety please? That's why I choose "The Garden Of Death" - unique, catchy, visual, full of character, to the point, and true to Fleming.

I just read that Norwegian Military Inteligence has aquired a supercomputer named Steelwinter.
    Good Bond title, I think.

Whether or not Bond 25 is based on the YOLT novel or not, "The Garden of Death" or "The Death Collector" are both great titles especially if they are filming two back to back (which I doubt very much....but would like).

Hopefully we'll get an extremely violent film surrounding Bond, Madeleine and Blofeld......in essence what DAF should have been.

And from what I am hearing from his colleagues on the Karl May Sets, Granger wore his nose very high.....
He certainly did not make a lot of friends back then.

They haven't had a title with the words KILL, DIE or GOLD for a while, maybe the law of averages suggests it will be an attempt at the more classic Bond movie tittle?

There's talks of a "Logan"esque film, with a rugged Bond doing his final showdown.

Intrigued. Like the sound of it, but wonder where the talk is coming from can you share? I'm only aware of a lot of wishful thinking from the likes of us fanboys and girls. Personally doubt that EON would risk a higher rating due to Violence but these are strange times...

I would like that also but I have to agree that EON/MGM would never be willing to risk the potential financial hit an "R" rating could bring. That being said, if shot and edited the right way, a PG-13 could be pretty brutal. LTK is a good example of that along with CR.

Excessive violence and brutality are not really what I look for in a Bond film (the books had some of this, though). But as I’ve said elsewhere, they’ve painted themselves into a corner with Craig coming back. And we know how much EON likes to mimic what other franchises are doing. So this could probably happen.

Nobody paints Bond into a corner :)) But seriously, I wouldn't want anything as constantly bleak, brutal and gory as Logan; I don't think that works for Bond. I would like them to return to playing to Craig's strengths; keep things a bit more grounded in reality, keep the odes and homages to past Bond films to these three things: Gun Barrel Walk at the beginning, a PTS, and a classic Barry style score (calling David Arnold); bring back Jeffrey Wright as Felix (and figure out a way to bring back Monica Bellucci...even in a cameo :x ); if there is to be a car chase, Bond should be driving a regular car (stolen, etc) and have to use his skills and guts to overcome the odds; don't worry about what happened in SPECTRE (the ending left things wide open and anything, Madeleine, etc can be explained away in one or two lines of dialogue) just make the best Bond film you can.

I agree whole heartedly with this. I just don’t think they’ll do it.

I've just watched the low budget British action flick Stratton. Not a great film by any means, but I loved the opening sequences of the movie with SBS Operatives emerging from the sea to blow up Bio Weapons complex deep in enemy territory. I would love Craig in Bond 25 to get his diving gear on and maybe something of this nature could be the PTS un-connected from the film itself.

I also watched the film Atomic Blonde as well, which is just a Bourne/Craig Bond homage, in fact stealing stunt sequences from both The World Is Not Enough and Casino Royale......apparently the lead actress Charlize Theron might be tipped to play a female James Bond, but she is quoted as saying the role should stay with Daniel Craig.

I don't think the PTS should be completely unconnected to the rest of the plot, but otherwise I agree.
