Yes, it was very naughty, and Hezza also stood against Maggie, so it's a bit
odd for him to go on about loyalty.
Ah yes, hezza bringing down the iron lady was very naughty. It took the tories years to shake off that machiavellian image, until right up until Teflon Tony Blair turned up
Yes Tony " Weapons of mass destruction" Blair. The skin of David Dickenson, the eyes
of Hannibal Lecter.
) ) I have feeling with the Chilcot enquiry findings coming out next week Teflon Tony will be more sticks like sh*t to a blanket Tony. I notice he seems to have slipped away quietly of late??
I think the term is plausible deniability..... There is nothing plausible about either Gordo or Tone, and Silhouette Man is right Gordos going to get it. I'm sure Gordon Brown taught jezza Corbyn how to be a labour leader, " listen jeremy if you ever get outvoted, lose an election or your party just don't like you anymore just close your eyes, shake your head and cling onto power for all your worth..... Got it? "
It seems to me Theresa May is the best candidate to be the next PM.
Boris Johnson is ....... very entertaining.
Michael Gove is clearly has all the warmth of a snowman and the loyalty of Judas Iscariot.
May was pro-EU, but she didn't join the mud-fight and seem to have made no enemies. She is very experienced and could be candidate most could accept. Any comments?
Boris has never made intention of wanting to be pm as far as I know, to me he is an engaging politician but not pm material, Gove seems a bit slimy to me but is very clever and should be involved in government somewhere, in glass cell maybe and wheeled out on some wheels with a hockey mask on when needed "Oh my Juncker......love the suit"
Cameron and the cabinet ministers should never have got involved in the referendum campaign, just got on with running the country and followed the peoples mandate. I beleive may nailed her flag to the remain campaign thinking this would win also following her boss for career purposes despite whatever personal thoughts she had.
I love Boris but I've never wanted him to be PM. He's far too entertaining to be in a stuffy role like that.
No idea what he'll do but I'm sure he'll resurface.
Eventually, I can see Boris doing a Portillo and being some mad historian on TV.
He's incredibly watchable, he's already quite a well respected historian, he has succeeded in one thing, and that's getting more people talking about politics.
Dean Martin presented the public with an unshakeable image as a carefree, lazy crooner perpetually semi-drunk, rarely seen without a glass of booze in one hand while chasing whatever pretty lady happened to wander by while he was stumbling through a song. Yet, for something like 40 years he had a career at the very top of show business- a string of hit movies, a wildly successful TV show, more hit singles & albums than most people realise, nominations for the usual awards (Emmy, Golden Globe, etc)...
He was in fact a very canny performer who was able to manipulate his image to his own advantage while never being taken seriously. You cannot have a career that successful while being a lazy drunk, and I think deep down we all knew that and just enjoyed the show.
Mr Johnson (he is still "Mr", isn't he? They'll knight him or whatever soon enough) does exactly the same thing, only in his own way. He masks his shrewd political brain and ambition behind a clownish exterior, only too happy to appear on TV comedy shows or do some outrageous stunt. This is not the end of his political career, far from it- he's only 52 (in politics, that's "only") and while things may arguably look bleak for him at the moment cry him no tears. Deep down we all know that- enjoy the show.

Boris will (I think) let the conservative party pull itself apart with in fighting, then return
to "save" the party. Or Lets the others fight, then take out the survivor.

I'd like to see him take out Gove like he took out that little playing rugby. Or better still how he took out that ex German football player with a rugby tackle......while playing football. )

100%.
I know a couple of people who have met and had dealings with Boris. Both have liked him very much and said about how bright he is. He is not a buffoon.
He may have had a knock but I'm sure he'll rise again.
Shocking, ...... I'm too emotional right now to take it in ! ........
Also what a bunch of spineless wimps in the Labour party, someone
Show some guts! If you want rid of Corbyn. For God sake, someone grow
A pair and stand against him. 8-)
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
The guy is a narcissist I think, now that was all very well 10 or 20 years ago. But what I mean is, he plays for the camera, is very good on one to one but not in a group, doesn't have too many friends. Now he's been found out, as he never had any support base within the Tory party to speak of, too busy doing his books and newspaper columns. Corbyn has no support in the party either but he doesn't need it as he's got the membership and the unions.
Put them side by side and they're a bit Jack Sprat and his wife...
Surprised Farage has quit as leader of UKIP as it's not like Article 50 has gone through yet. You'd think he'd savour it a bit more.
As for Gove, well, if Johnson couldn't or wouldn't offer him a job, he's not going to get one off T May is he? So he may as well go for leadership, it's the only way he's going to be in the cabinet, surely?
This has to be one of the most honest things I've ever heard a politician say ...
Cameron to Corbyn at PMQ's:
"It might be in my party’s interest for him to sit there – he’s not in the national interest. I would say: for heaven’s sake, man, go!"
The country desperately needs a decent opposition to bring the government to task. Under any normal circumstances given what is happening the Conservatives would be on their last legs however they're still managing to look like the most competent !! Unbelievable.
Tony Blair want's a second referendum as some people have changed their minds ?
I don't really care if they do, but if done. I want it to be allowed for all future elections !
So if there is a big Labour win, the Conservatives an call another election and vice
Versa. After all the Public are really too stupid to make a decision, .. yet are trusted to
Elect a government ? )

Strange as they both held the knife...
of Hannibal Lecter.
Deniability is a politicians greatest friend.
Gordon Brown's just as much to blame as he authorised the money for the Iraq War and signed off on it as Chancellor of the Exchequer.
I've actually liked him when I saw him first during the olympics.
It's just like the Mars CEO refusing to eat his own product
