Trump tweets that he is very concerned that the Russians will fight very hard to have an impact on the next election. Based on the fact that no US president has been tough er than him on Russia he believes they want the Democrats to win. They definately don't want him!

It's because I want to remind people that this isn't normal. It's extreme and it's nuts. It's different from any other US president, and not in a good way.

It's a difficult issue. If or when there is Brexit deal ready I can see there being a new referendum where people can agree to the deal or vote for a return to the EU, possibly even go Ahead With Brexit without a deal. But just a new referendum just to get a Stay vote seems dishonest.

There are problems with the EU, but....
It's an elective dictatorship. There are still plenty of them around today.

It's not an elective dictatorship. When an unit as big as the EU is governed the geographical, mental, political etc distance to the regions, countries and individuals gets very long. A lot become compromises, but large groups will feel (and actually get) overlooked and ignored because of the size of it. It's not dictatorship, but I understand how some experience it that way.
The EU isn't too fond of elections, hence why no elections are needed to fill many of their top positions
The same can be said of keeping Books on spending etc...… no one really knows where all the money goes

The ordinary voter in the UK has only had a democratic say in EU membership three times in over 40 years, twice in the 1970s. I would hardly call that democratic.
It's much closer to a diktat and that is how the EU likes it of course. All dossent myst be crushed. Just look at the referendums in Ireland on the Lisbon treaty in 2008 and 2009; they had to try it twice to get the answer they wanted. That's their definition of democracy. It's the same thing with the call for a second EU referendum in the UK.

Like I said, the EU has problems when it comes to the seperation between people and power because of the size.complexity and bauracracy of the EU. Saying the system isn't democratic at all is clearly wrong, something the Brexit vote proves. There is obviously free press too. The right-wing populists have risen in popularity in most EU states lately, and that's refelected in the EU Parliament.
