MrE, right now no one has been charged. We've merely given Tom Ford Milan the authorization to charge our cards. As I understand it, we will be charged upon reaching the minimum order of 50. Then the wait begins for having the jacket made and shipped.

I gave my authorization a month and a half ago but my card has yet to be charged.

I'm not sure what your issues are. Are you preferring to pay with a debit card but want there to be adequate funds in the connected account, rather than pay with a credit card?

If your financial situation has changed and you need to drop out just contact Simon and make it official.
  • No, not dropping out. Just need a little more time to gather funds. I prefer to pay via bank transfer.

A credit charge is my last resort.

Higgins, my bank did reissue me a new debit,
Then I ran into financial issues.

Sorry for the convoluted messages, but I'm still in.
And almost there. Some one is purchasing my
Varvatos jacket. Just waiting for the funds to transfer.

And I believe we will be charged once we reach 50,
not when the item ships in June / July

You lot need to change banks. My bank send me a new card at least a month before the old one expires.

Sounds like his card was either lost or compromised, so a new one is needed.

We are currently at 46 paid (was 47 but someone just cancelled) so we just need 4 more, still waiting on:

    FRGNAFFAIRS
    gooner
    MrE
    Gold_Bond
    mb1101

3 from JBL and 4 from TBE went radio silent.

46 and counting. Talk about a nail biter.

Yea my card number was comprimised according to my bank and told me they will send me a new card. But my account is fine. Sorry for the delay.

    Since this project is just so close to success, I've managed to pool together/save up some funds to jump onboard and hopefully help give it the final push! Simon, you have a PM -{

Hey guys, just filling out Luigi's forms now, still a little bit unsure on sizing though. I am usually a 42 in suits, 41 for dress shirts, I'm a large in the JV and also a large in the Royale Harrington and that's a perfect fit. 6'1" height. I'm thinking 52 for this?
  • Westward_DriftWestward_Drift Posts: 3,113MI6 Agent
I am staying true to size and getting the 52. I too took a large in the JV and the BR peacoat. My suit size is usually a 42 or 42L.

I will say that the 50 matches my size large Royale Harrington V1 in chest shoulders and arms, but the waist would be 4 inches smaller, so it would look much slimmer. Too much of a risk should the actual finished product run even a bit small.

If it's a little big in the chest for me I will have to eventually get it altered by Tom Ford in either L.A. or Las Vegas.

Same as Steves reply (we have shared many messages umming and arring).... I am virtually identical to you
6'1' and 41 in TF shirts, 42 in suits and large in all Bond jackets
Went for the 52 for same reasons Steve said
Also from my measurements TF Milan have, Luigi advised 52
Will hopefully give the SA fit, ie a little room

  • Simon, thanks for your patience.

    Sorry for the delay guys.

I'm filling out the paper work.

Hopefully this puts us at 50

I filled out the paperwork and and sent it back to Luigi on Saturday. Just waiting to hear back. I think with JTM, MrE, and myself, that puts us at 49 because I think we were at 46 previously.

    49...so close!
Thanks guys, that's correct, another 10% GST (VAT) charged against whatever it is over the $1000 threshold so about another $130 AUD. will do some sole searching this evening and see how I go. By the way a massive congrats to Simon on persistence with this so far. amazing job.

How did the soul searching go?

A couple new people expressed interest in the Project during David's livestream on Saturday. Hopefully soon we will be a go!

So once JTM and MrE send in their forms we're at 51 or are you including them in your count?

Yeah, I was wondering about that too. I sent my card and information to Luigi, but I haven't gotten a payment confirmation yet. You got the inside scoop David, or did some more people join? The suspense... :))

I should be getting my new card with the update anyday now. I will have to give new card info to Luigi.
  • I'm having trouble translating the payment doc. into a writable format, but should have everything sent in once I get that squared away. So I'm pretty sure Luigi hasn't counted me yet, that should mean we are at 50.
  • I'm using a new laptop that doesn't have office installed yet,

If anyone has any tips how to translate the papers into a writable format, do let me know.

I used the display function in Outlook which runs a stripped down Word, filled in the necessary fields, printed and signed the doc, then scanned it into a pdf.

If you have an e-signature you can skip the last parts and either change the docx to pdf or attach the filled in document to your reply.

Well, unless I needed to type in a value or currency amount for the jacket,

My payment info has OFFICIALLY been sent.

If the report from earlier is correct,

then we are officially at 50

If you're doing credit card you need to authorize the total payment amount. At least that's what I did combining cost of the jacket with preferred method of shipping.

If bank transfer, would TF Milan send a request to be fulfilled?

Dave thanks for the updated in my absence, we did indeed hit the magic number and the order is being place. By far one of the most grueling group buys I have ever organized, time to hibernate for a while.
