Gents, I have spoken to Luigi and he has now stated mid-June for a delivery date. So we have to occupy ourselves through May with other distractions! :007)
Possibly someone can help me with my understanding of the history of this jacket. My understanding is that the SA one was never released to the public and only a few people, primarily AJB members, got some screen used jackets. So, that would mean that the jackets we get are one of 50 jackets ever released to the public, aside from screen used jackets obtained after filming. Let me know if I got any of this wrong and if there are any special tidbits that I may have missed. Many thanks -{
I think some Japanese guy had pictures of 1 also however I dont thinks its 100% clear how he got this if pictures are correct.
I have the retail version however it has leather trim around the pockets, sleeves are not pleated and the material also has a blend of silk (in summary its a bit posher)
From memory there were other versions which had a leather trim on the back of collar and also webbed back which did not look nice at all.
I wouldn't say it's off the table, but it isn't exactly something that I have an appetite to do right now. Maybe once the jackets hit and everyone is happy....

Only my opinion, but as far as how much of a headache this project has been, especially for those who were "in the ring", I think a lot of the trouble was getting people to commit to the price since it was relatively high. Theoretically, if the polo project happens, I assume it would be in the $500 ball park since it's all cotton and nothing fancy, and I think it would be a much smoother process for that reason. (Just an observation, like you said awhile ago, only you and Simon know how painstaking a project really is when you're heading it)

500 seems right but look at the Spectre Polo - $960...
It's not the convincing that is problematic, it's the intense communications between buyer and manufacturer, clarifications, details, emotions, requests, time....did I mention time. Then of course there is the time involved....but hey, it aint all bad, in the end you are guaranteed at least one person flaming you who isn't even buying said item.
