Most exciting action finale

Of course, we all watch the Bond films over and over again. And one of the main parts of every film is the big action finale, usually where the villain is killed, Bond saves the day and lots of incredible action. But, which one is the most exciting?

For me, it's got to be LTK. As soon as Bond starts the fire in the compound, that's it. It's all non stop action from there. A great and gruesome villain death before - IMO - the best vehicle chase in any film begins, with massive explosions that you can feel the heat of, more great villain deaths, Daltn doing his own stunts, an impressive stunt with an eighteen wheeler - it's easily the most exciting action finale to any Bond film, which I always look forward to as soon as LTK starts.

Wow, you nailed it in one! As action finales go, it even beats out YOLT IMO. YOLT is grander in scale, but it just doesn't get my blood pumping like LTK does.

For me it's OHMSS. The raid on Piz Gloria and the bobsled chase. It doesn't even need a big villain death.

toss up between the final duel between 007 and 006 in GE and when Silva arrives at Skyfall manor. I also like TND's machine gun laden finale, has some great special effects and music.

I'm with MilleniumForce. LTK has always been at the top of the heap for me. The SF ending is a great set piece from recent years. TND is also one of the first that comes to my mind for the reasons walther p99 described.

I'd call TND #2 for me- the action is very slick and the girl in need of rescue during the fight upped the ante. {[]

In terms of scope, it's You Only Live Twice. In terms of pulse-pounding action, it would be Casino Royale.

Good to see some love for the TND finale!

All of the above mentions are excellent, and definitely up there in my book (LTK, GE, TND, SF). I'd also add FRWL, OHMSS and TLD to the mix. Maybe even AVTAK.

OHMSS for me with the Piz Gloria raid and Bond chasing down Blofeld on the Bobsled. You Only Live Twice is also brilliant.

So many good finales. LTK is really done well, and is epic. I enjoyed Sf except bardems dying man bit, but if I have to pick one I would also have to say ohmss it has a lot of merits.

Yes, I saw this film for the first time in the mid 90s on UK TV and was blown away by how good it was after hearing everyone saying it was a flop.

Yes, I saw this film for the first time in the mid 90s on UK TV and was blown away by how good it was after hearing everyone saying it was a flop.

I must confess, as a kid and a younger man I didn't really get or like ohmss, mainly due to Lazenby feeling unfamiliar and those psychedelic scenes, but after reading the book then rewatching it it's found a happy and deserved place with me.
