    Hi Dan,

    I would technically be a size M, but have over 26 inch arms. Is this an easy jacket to modify? Do any of them happen to have longer arms from a production error?

    Just on this, it is better of course to have sleeves a little longer which gives people options, but with the last few production runs I've done my best to set aside jackets that do have a little extra sleeve length. There will always be a small tolerence in production, so anybody requiring a longer sleeve length should attach a note with the transaction and if I can accommodate, I will certainly aim to do so. I didn't make that public this time as length was very consistent on the whole, but with a couple of those requests coming in I was able to send jackets that were a half inch longer approximately. Jeremy didn't ask me this time, but I know he needs the sleeve length haha... I'll confirm that in an email Jeremy :) It is difficult as there is a wide range of chest to sleeve ratios, but do request it in an attached note with the order and if I can accommodate, I will and advise accordingly.

    Good news, all initial orders have now shipped... busy day. Taking 5 at the moment :s , but will advise of tracking in a bit.

    Might have to go pick one up from JB myself. I've always wanted a decent steamer and I've got a Kambrook iron that's served me well

    If you still want an iron, but also want to steam, get this. I love this thing. http://www.rowentausa.com/LINEN-CARE/STEAM-STATION/PERFECT-STEAM-STATION-DG8520/p/1830005299

    shoots a stream of steam about 6 feet! You can almost feel recoil. LOL

    Great review! David in the pictures are you wearing the small or medium?

    Cheers David. Just placed my order after seeing you try on the different sizes. Very helpful so thanks for the review.

    Dan thanks for all you efforts. Got v1 of this jacket but looking forward to getting the upgrade!

    Great photos!! And thanks David for another great review. It's always nice to see how the ROYALE jackets stack up against the originals. I'm glad you've decided to go with the medium, I think long term you'll be happier in that one. Both look great on you though. I've pinched one of you pics for instagram! :)

    Fantastic review as always David. Thank you. I ended up going with the medium, still waiting for it but judging by you video I think I made the right choice.

    Mine arrived and it just got crazy hot in Florida so cant really wear it :#

    However, I decided I was going to reward a team of my staff with these jackets if they make a certain production quota, all are really pumped. -{

    Got mine yesterday. Love it!! Moved the sleeve buttons a little and poof, Bob's your Uncle!

    Received the Haiti on Monday. I will have the sleeves shortened a little. And have the cuff buttons moved in as Dan suggested. I'm very happy with the jacket and the fit. For reference I'm 5'9" 175 pounds 42" chest 32 waist. Size medium fits good. Has a nice fitted look. And not to tight. Thanks Dan for producing another winner.

    Received my Haiti jacket today and I have to admit it's my favourite of all Dan's jackets. The fit is perfect without any need for alterations and when compared to a friend's Y3 original it is amazingly close. Glad to say I now own all of Dan's collection. Now to save for the QoS cardigan.
  • JTMJTM Posts: 3,027MI6 Agent
    I just want to echo the above comments, received my jacket a couple of days ago and couldn't be happier; it looks great, feels great and fits great! Compared it to my Y3 and apart from slightly thicker material (which I actually prefer), a slight colour difference and slightly shorter pocket openings it's spot on! Another brilliant piece Dan, thank you -{

    Dear Sirs,
    Did you all size down to get a slim, screen accurate look?
    Thank you.

    I think Dan mentioned the Haiti jacket is sized around half a size larger than his Harrington and Peacoat. I had to go for the large for both of those, the medium was just too tight across the shoulders. I sized down to the medium for the Haiti and the fit is perfect! Hope this helps.

    I went with the same size as the Harrington and it is about the same.

    My full review is coming tomorrow. Got delayed by camera issues X-(

    But here are some picks of the medium:

    On a size 40 mannequin

    On me

    For reference, I took a large in the Harrington and a medium in the Shanghai peacoat. My measurements right now: 5'9", 165 lbs, 38" chest, 33" sleeve, 31" waist and 15.5 neck in a dress shirt.

    I'll post the link to the review tomorrow as soon as it's published. Love the jacket, by the way! Another quality piece of work from Dan.

    Fantastic John,

    Looks great on you sir! Can't wait for the review -{ Have you lost weight mate? Would you be more a medium in the harrington these days? Good news on the Quantum cardigan front too, but I'll post that over on that thread now...

    Thanks Dan! Seriously, great work again! And I have lost about 15 pounds. But I should be gaining that back soon so I'm happy sticking with my normal size. {[]
