I'll get back to the original topic, since I find it a very interesting one, what appeals to fellow Bond fans.
LOVE:
1: Omega - a bit of controversy here. I strongly dislike their current policy of too many watches and styles, but guess that's their identity now. I have to include it as the first brand thanks to the fact it was the brand which made me interested in "quality" timepieces and will always remember the brand as the first love in this field.
I would strongly disagree that they are without a pedigree needed to worthy of Bond. Skipping the moon thing I would say thanks to their naval connection they might had been picked up. From what I understand one year they were considered superior to Rolex, another time it was vice versa. In the 60s Omega was the brand to have. If the quartz crisis did not happen and they would had stick with a bit narrower collection, omitted the un-limited editions, they might be on the same perceived level as Rolex is.
On December I went to a jewelry store where they had the Sub-C and the Omega SM300 MC. Having inspected both of them, aside from the steel and brand recognition I was not convinced with Sub's superiority. I even found the clasp of SM300 to be better. However, time will tell if the movement will be better in the long term.
2: Aston Martin - Never was a car enthusiast until I saw the Vanquish in DAD. After that, everything changed. If that's not a good enough reference, I don't know what is :-)
3: Rolex - I don't think love for one of these watches exclude the other. Submariners are truly icons and would like to have one in my collection. What I like about them is their overall quality and heritage (looks, of course). What I dislike is that they are becoming more of a status symbol "loved by everyone" not as much because of their horological qualities as for what they nowadays represent. These owners I met are amongst the biggest douchebags I have ever met and cast a negative image on the others (as many honorable members of this this forum are).
4. Barbour - a quintessential British brand. I remember seeing the Lodge outfit for the first time and tough - it couldn't be more British, even if he tried (ok, a flat cap maybe...). I finally was able to purchase the Commander in early December and couldn't be more happier. Just as good as I imagined it to be and am looking forward to wear it to many decades to come. Absolutely love it.
5. Adidas - not something typical, but playing football/soccer for 10 years (amateur level only), it was my most beloved brand in my high-school years. As Gazelle's have a strong connection to the British pop-culture, I find it most appropriate for the training outfit. You can imagine I was in 7th Heaven seeing my (then) favorite brand on him :-)
+1 Orlebar Brown - I chose the color of my Setter to match with the color of my eyes just like the Sky blue matched Daniels. Superb quality and look. I love how they as a brand are emulating the 60s look (the most stylish era in my opinion) with a modern twist.
+2 Dents - heritage and quality. Absolutely impressed by them.
Something in between : Tom Ford - while I love the look of the suits and their cut, I think that the literal Bond would stick with a British tailor and not a top luxury brand. I see TF more as a brand which rather a rich literal Bond villain would wear with a watch from the Holy Trinity (Hugo Drax). I don't even blame them for their prices, since they are intended for the customers who can afford it without the blink of the eye. I admire the brand, but wouldn't choose it for Bond. Even if they suit him like no other.
HATE:
1: Seiko - they sure could be "hip" in the 80's, but I love Bond because he represents a consistency of his style, sticking with classic. Being nice and helpful - would you like Bond to wear and Apple watch? Not against the brand, it just doesn't suit.
2: Agnelle - underwhelmed with the customer experience in their boutique in Paris, where the shop assistant was not even able to tell me how to choose the proper size resulting in bad fit. I would also have expected better quality for the price.
3: BMW - again, nothing against the brand, just not for our beloved spy.
This has been a very interesting topic to dissect the certain brands we like and the ones we don't. It seems that the most consistently beloved brands are Crockett&Jones, N.Peal and Orlebar Brown. While the most dislike brands are by far Matchless, Armani, Dior and Prada. Its interesting to see a few brands that ended up on both most loved and most hated lists such as Tom Ford and Omega.
In regards to the Dior jacket from an earlier post I think it looks fine on screen which is the important thing but too me the entire outfit is great in theory because it reminds me a lot of OHMSS, which I suppose was the intended image, but in execution the whole outfit kind of falters because of some of the choices made. For instance, the Dior jacket itself, beyond the actual brand itself which we established isn't really one that's appropriate for Bond but nonetheless its unassuming and classic looking so it looks like something he would wear. And with this outfit he wears the Neil Barrett dress pants, pants that I actually love, but wearing them with this outfit was a really bad choice because their dress pants and Bonds going on an adventure out in the snow, totally inappropriate pants to be wearing. The final bit is the Agnelle gloves which i've heard from numerous people are pretty lackluster winter gloves. So even though I'm looking way too into this because as long as Bond looks good on screen that's the important thing but I don't think I should see one of Bond's outfits and go "yeah I wouldn't wear that" he should always be perfectly dressed.
The brands I disliked, I only disliked them because I do not see any relationship to Bond, besides product placement. I like Heineken beer and BMW make great cars, but I don't see our hero drink beer or drive a German car. Hence my choices for more classic brands that are really related to James Bond, not to the marketing department.
1. Trumbull & Asser
2. Persol
3. Barbour
4. Orlebar Brown
5. Gucci (Unconventional, I realize. But some of Moore's loafers and Lazenby's luggage in OHMSS are personal favorites of mine; I think Bond could still make use of modern equivalents)
Honorable mention: Rolex (I don't own a Rolex - although I do have a Tudor - so I didn't list it with the others)

Tue that to the fact that they treat the fan with the utmost respect through their communications and customer service and you have an amazing recipe for a long term brand. Their products are not only quality but feel wonderful, matching their 'boasting' as being a luxury brand. Their packaging heralds something special inside the box and is designed with care... A great read from Agent Mantis (as usual)
For me my no 1 Bond Brand has to be Aston Martin ,this company has nearly or gone bust more times than one cares to think .
And as a blue blood Brit ,im glad that the marque is now well and truly saved and recognised around the world as an iconic British brand ,my no 2 would along with Mantis is our friends in Northampton Crockett&Jones I have purchased their Craig era shoes and just love them .I think their London staff are the best ,if any of you have dealt with Bismark enough said. I have owned C&J shoes since 1985 so how thrilled was I when C&J become a Bond brand IM glad for the good people of Northampton a boom town in times of past ,then like most British town took a big hit on un -employment .Now at least brands like Trickers C&j can put the town firmly back on the map .and lastly Rolex , I own a PEPSI GMT (for 17 years now) Bond /Rolex is like roast beef and mustard ,Gin and tonic , My least fave Bond brands ,??? I don't have any I would be glad to own any thing Bond related sorry
This has been an excellent guide to see what people like or don’t like. I am only going to review which brands that I’ve had experience with either online, in person, or both.
Top 5 Favorite Brands:
Tom Ford: I told myself when getting into this hobby I was going to do my best to avoid getting Tom Ford not because I didn’t like the items or anything about it, but because if I went to down the rabbit hole there would be no turning back. Well, I fell down the rabbit hole just after Spectre came out and got the Tom Ford Ski Jacket which has been nothing short of phenomenal. probably of my most worn pieces this winter and last winter. The Madison Ave store in NYC was much larger than I expected when I visited NYC and they were busy. I was kind of just browsing around, but customer service was great once I figured out what I wanted. My local store has been nothing short of phenomenal, so they definitely have a customer in me for quite some time.
Crockett & Jones: I visited the store in NYC, have yet to get to London, but the customer experience was great and got to see and try on various lasts and sizes to see what ones work and which ones don’t. I have also had the great experience of being part of some online MTO’s, which have been nothing short of flawless execution in customer service. They will always be my go to when it comes to dress shoes/boots and of course some of the more casual styles like the Islay.
Omega: Customer service at least from what I have experience has been great and I don’t mind the route they’re taking to go more upscale. I will agree with others that they are releasing too many different models lately and only a few will stand the test of time.
Sunspel: I really like the brand. They have great British styling, but I wish more of there products now were still made in Britain. I love their polo’s, but I think not being made in Britain like they were when Casino Royale came out takes a small hit for the brand especially since they aren’t the cheapest of items.
N. Peal - I’ve only ordered items online from them twice, but customer service/shipping speed/packaging have been flawless. I would not hesitate to order from them again especially with the weakening pound vs USD. I thought they were pricey when Skyfall came out, but since the pound is a lot weaker, they are more of a value play. I’ve gotten nothing but compliments on how soft their sweaters are.
Least Favorite:
Matchless: I signed up for their communications and received nothing for the jacket. Stock went out before e-mails were sent out, etc. I thought the price was too high when compared to something like the Levi’s Menlo jacket. I wasn’t a fan of the branding on the jacket either. Then I think the cachet of limited edition to mass production was a bit of a stab in the back for Bond collectors as I believe it’s still available on their website now. I actually just gave up attempting to order it altogether.
Agnelle: I hate to put this on here as I wear these gloves on a regular basis and they are relatively nice, but I think their website has some issues to be worked out. I added an 8 and 7.5 glove on the cart and both showed as 7.5 when checking out. I ended up getting a 7.5 which was expected and they worked out quite well which is good. I ordered about a week before Christmas, so I get that there’s the Holidays, but it took about 3 weeks for them to get shipped out. Once shipped out, I did receive them in about 6 days, so not too bad. The price was twice that of the Dents gloves and the Dents gloves (I believe are made in England), the Agnelle are made in the Philippines. I am not saying that deters from the quality of the gloves, but it is just an observation.
At this time, I can’t think of a 3rd that I have had a bad or not so good experience or something that jumps out at me, which I think is a good thing overall.
Didn't realise Agnelle are made in the Philippines.
I cant say too bad things about them as two pairs of my gloves went missing and never arrived. They sent me out replacements etc when I guess I could have been trying it on. Not worn them enough to comment on how they will hold up!
1. Sunspel
2. Barbour
3. Tom Ford
4. Church's
5. Rolex
Bottom 3
1. Brioni - awful choice for Craig and generally overpriced. Zegna far better and more value.
2. Sony Xperia - much better phones out there, disappointing they keep showing up.
3. Heineken - should never have been allowed in the Bond movies.
To further hone this discussion what are your favorite/least favorite of the lesser known one off Bond brands? Its well known by the general public that Bond wears Tom Ford, Crockett & Jones and Omega. I'm talking about brands like J.Crew, Neil Barret, Thomas Pink, All Saints, Agenlle, etc. and would you like one of these brands to return or have a bigger involvement with Bond?
I have a lot of love for all saints as a brand, both me and Mrs coop have plenty of their items, also Ted Baker is a firm favourite in our house including the children.
Since I haven't had the resources to get much experience with any of the genuine brands (i've gone more for many budget pieces rather than one large investment piece) I can't do a favorite and least favorite from personal experience. I must say, however, that I discovered an amazing brand before I became a member on the forum while I was searching for Spectre Clothing. The first Bond piece I ever bought was an alternative for the JV Cafe Racer suede jacket from Marks and Spencer and ever since have fallen in love with that brand. They have given me at least 5 or 6 great quality, affordably priced, fairly SA alternatives and without them I wouldn't get to dress like Bond as much as I do! They had only stone color Harrington jackets for weeks and I emailed them begging for a Blue and they restocked a few at the sale price a few days later. Not sure it was in response to me but who cares haha! While I eventually want to move into purchasing from some of the actual Bond brands, I thought it would be interesting to have someone share about an experience with an alternative Bond brand. Easy to order, great pricing, ridiculously fast - and usually free - shipping. I've literally had my order show up in two days, and that's from London to Charlotte, NC. I'm not even joking, I got hooked on that alone. So anyway, I can't recommend Marks and Spencer enough! This is a spectacular thread idea and I love reading all these takes on the Brands of our beloved 007.

Same here, probably my most consistently worn Bond brand. Wearing jeans and a sweatshirt from them right now actually.

I've had some interest in Marks and Spencer's clothing since style icon David Gandy started working with them and putting out some very classic items.

Gandy influenced me also, I have a few pairs of his shorts and I like his m and s loungewear., other than that I do quite like marks and Spencer's made to measure shirts.
Neil Barrett is prob the most mismatched Brand for Bond - cant see that happening again!
The Jcrew boots were fantastic - I was so suprised by the Kentons, they are fab!
Mulberry gloves ooze quality and blow the other gloves away. Would like to see return for sure!
I actually really like Neil Barrett suits but most of their clothing is usually branded with really flashy and ostentatious designs that are the polar opposite of Bond's classic and understated style.
Neil Barrett has some of the weirdest designs in my opinion. I don't know where the "drop crotch" style came from but it needs to die out fast.
That is one of the most non-Bond brands, Zara is closer to Bond than Neil Barrett. However that one pair of trousers are cool.
The Neil Barrett Spectre pants (besides their inappropriate usage in Austria) are one of my favorite clothing bits from the film, and like I said I love Neil Barrett suits but overall I'm surprised they even found something from the brand that's wearable by Bond.

Agreed on the Austria usage. WHY WOULD YOU WEAR THEM IN THE SNOW? In London fine, but in sub 32*

Yeah its not one of Bond's best sartorial choices.

One other thing re N Peal: they will do made to measure at the same price as the standard item with around a 6 week lead time and sensibly priced global shipping. I am having a size small sweater made with longer arms but they will also make a design you like in a different color cashmere if they have it in stock.

Agree! Some brands seem to have a love/hate association with Bond but it's nice to see Sinclair embracing it and really incorporating it in their marketing in a fun and unique way. I think they need to do a better job honoring the heritage of the suits though... most of the current offerings seem more like they are 'inspired by' as opposed to more direct references.

If you get a Special Order suit, it can be modified to be more like Connery's with the narrower lapels, lower button stance and high-rise pleated trousers. However, a ready-to-wear suit like that would not sell as well as what they are selling instead. Daniel Craig's style is vastly more popular than Connery's these days.

Hope I did not bore anyone to death :-D
1. Connery 2. Craig 3. Brosnan 4. Dalton 5. Lazenby 6. Moore
Least favorite:

+1 for Gucci! Love Moore's loafers! {[]

NPeal: Love the personal attention, the heart, and the passion of this brand. They took a few moments around Bond and really connected to it in an authentic way. Finally their CEO connects with people, both internally at his company and outside among us crazies.
Tom Ford: I have had a love/hate relationship with Tom Ford but mostly love. Love their suits, the way they fit, the shirtings, the accessories, the grooming items etc...love their casual pieces and their ties. I have even loved their client experience, but as my vlogs would denote it has been hit or miss. It really comes down to the individual. I have had stellar experiences in communication both outside and inside the store, but then I have had experiences that turned my stomach. I have also seen the internal workings of the organization beyond what most see, some of which made me invigorated and some which made me realize this is still a corporation...then their are the prices which I almost feel I have become numb to, like stepping in a scalding tub that eventually feels comfortable, one toe at a time. THAT ALL BEING SAID, I now have several contacts over there that get it...they have the respect and client experience back on track, and happily they also see the Bond fan is a force to be reckoned with. They seem to be more open minded (at least middle management) and realize that positive word can influence people, but negative words can influence revenue....They have also ruined me with suits---I never wear any of my suits that are not Tom Ford anymore because they don't feel/look/act the same on me. I feel like TF and I have gone through marriage couselling and "we are in a good place now..."
Orlebar Brown: Had to mention this brand because I love the fit of the items even outside the Bond connection, but most of all I really enjoy the people wo make up the brand. Good conversations and a willingness to explore the Bond lore, they still use Bond as a compass to inspire and create much of their resort items. Also, every piece I receive feels special, as if I have it specifically to head out on some tropical vacation/mission. If I could sum it up, I would say this brand transports me.
Crockett & Jones: This is an interesting one for me because although I love the product I am very neutral about the brand experience. That is not to say I feel the people at C&J are rude or bad, in fact they have seemed to embrace the Bond and fan community, it's just my interaction with them has not been to that level. Basically, I receive a green box in, I open the box, I wear the boots/shoes. But damn those boots! I have sneakers and slippers that are less comfortable than the boots...I love them. I wear C&Js several times a week and when I have agency pitches I almost always wear them, since they put me in a good state of mind. The comfort and quality is second to none and I own a helluva lot of boots. This is one of those brands that I am so thankful that Bond introduced me to them because I am now a lifer as far as patronizing them.
Anthony Sincalir: Had to put this one in for the sheer fact that they are doing what we want ALL brands to do, and that is to revive some of these forgotten but impactful style brands of old. When I think of iconic styles from some of our favorite movies I love that this family run company is being fearless in their trajectory. Although I have never met them face to face I have had many communications with them and they seem as aspirational as they are passionate. They take pride in the pieces they create and take the ownership of these brands very seriously. A couple of aspects I am enjoying is their FB and instagram advertising as well as their write-ups. As a marketing guy I can appreciate the connection they are building to their brands and US.

Omega: Let me start by saying I love my Omega watches and wear them EVERY DAY. This is not a comment about their product, this is a comment about the brand/company. This is an unfortunate reality about knowing "too much behind the scenes". I will say the boutique people have been very good to me personally, and I have developed real friendships with several of them. But too many martinis have been shared with war stories of what happens behind the curtain regarding the treatment of the boutiques employees for me not to be tainted. Of course, what employee doesn't grouse about their bosses, company etc...it's just my personal perception here and I am sure if you peel back the layers of any big company you will find equal dissent...so take it with aa grain of salt...
Matchless: Why? Watch this---
Neil Barret: Yeah, I know I am reaching here. Not exactly steeped in Bond connection but the brand communication has been pretty shoddy, even though they say they pride themselves on service and communication. I at least expect a brand to send me back a terse email or a thanks but no thanks. Silence? Where's the creativity in that...like I said, reaching here.

Neil Barrett is prob the most mismatched Brand for Bond - cant see that happening again!
The Jcrew boots were fantastic - I was so suprised by the Kentons, they are fab!
Mulberry gloves ooze quality and blow the other gloves away. Would like to see return for sure!
That is one of the most non-Bond brands, Zara is closer to Bond than Neil Barrett. However that one pair of trousers are cool.
Agreed on the Austria usage. WHY WOULD YOU WEAR THEM IN THE SNOW? In London fine, but in sub 32*
