Interested in the Menlo but unsure about the size. I'm about 42" chest, wear an L in Barbour Dept B, M in John Smedley's Bobby and US 40 (EUR 50) in suits. You think that would fit me?

Im a 41 and ordered a Large Menlo originally
Swamped me so exchanged for a Medium
Its a very snug fit
Personally think a medium n a half would be ideal

writingsonthewall - Always sorry to see anyone miss out on an item they're interested in. Apologies for being the culprit in this instance. I agree with the advice from others above on sizing for this slightly older jacket, which definitely runs large! I was a little hesitant to buy a Medium without trying, as I'm a Large in every other jacket I own. I'm 6'0", 185 lbs, 42/43" chest, 33" waist and have broad shoulders and I really expected the Menlo in Medium to be a tight squeeze. Yet the fit is perfect, fully justifying the faith I placed in the advice of others on this forum who have struggled with sizing for this jacket. A Large would have been way too big. On this basis, and with your measurements, a Medium would seem to be your best bet. Unless it's one of the more chocolate brown recent run jackets, which I understand run more true to size, with shorter sleeves. Hope you able to snag a jacket soon!
