There was a bit of a conversation about the ethics of it in the following posts. Canoe2 also gave it a dubious mention on his Iconic Alternatives after the discussion
I recently broke down and decided to try a Vesper Polo.
First, let me say that all of my other polos are Sunspels and OBs. But in the US, the Mack Weldon is about half the cost of the Sunspel Riviera.
Setting aside the ethics of copying the Riviera so closely, I can say that the Vesper is noticeably softer than the Riviera. Fit is close enough as to make them indistinguishable. The weave, or whatever the term is, seems tighter on the Mack Weldon. I prefer the looser mesh of the Sunspels.
Will I buy another Vesper? Probably not. I like the Sunspels although my wife has commented on how quickly the Rivieras seem to fade and I am diligent about following the laundering instructions.

I agree with Dirtypunker, it's only a few $$ cheaper than the sunspel and is a blatant highjacking of the 007 brand
