    Would you like a bite of my sausage? In England, we call them bangers!

    For me it's the moment during TSWLM titles when he nonchalantly pushes the marching lady/soldier over causing the domino effect - classic Roger!

    Sorry I'm no good with posting pictures/videos if someone wanted to do the honours for me...

    I had the honour of meeting Sir Roger and his lovely daughter Deborah just over thirteen years ago. An appointment had been made through his London office aptly named "Moore Office" to see if Sir Roger would be interested in seeing/signing the last PPK he used as Bond on A View To A Kill? Surprisingly he said yes & the authorities were informed that a PPK would be transported to a public place where Sir Roger would be at luncheon. Long story short although the Knight in question was agreeable his personal security would not allow it stating that the pistol did not fit the image of a UNICEF Ambassador. As a back-up I also brought along the Corgi Royal Premiere gold plated Lotus Esprit and mounted Moonraker shuttle which Sir Roger was most amused by as he commented he had given his examples to his son. He then proceeded to sign both boxes with an empty pen which "cut like a knife". When he found a pen which worked he resigned over his first attempt & added "I signed it once with a ball point!" which he thought was hilarious. I shook his hand and said thank you, this was an honour. He looked me straight in the eye and said "Yes I'm sure it was!" An image of the gold Lotus was used uncredited in his Bond on Bond volume.

    RIP Sir Roger....you will be missed -{

    Watching TSWLM last night, I love the "hurt schoolboy" look Roger puts on when asked
    If he was trying to seduce XXX. With the line " The thought never crossed my mind " :D

    Really great and heartwarming story I came across about how a little kid once asked Roger Moore for an autograph. This one put a smile on my face; it is vintage Roger Moore.

    Yes, that's a great little story and very typical of the sort of man Sir Roger was. -{

    I have never seen that model before, it looks stunning. Was it a limited edition piece by Corgi?
    Even if you didn't get a signed View To A Kill PPK, at least you managed to amuse Sir Roger.
    a reasonable rate of return
