My Billy Reid pea coat arrived today, love it, the XL is just slightly snugger that I wish but the XX would be way too large. As far as the Rogue jacket, stiff for sure but does stretch and loosen up as you wear it a little especially if it gets a little warm in the process.

Whats your size in the Rogue Jacket of I can ask? I would like to know how does the BR fit compared to it.
  • bosoxfanbosoxfan Posts: 611MI6 Agent
I have an XL in the Rogue as well, I tried both the XXL and the XL, the X is snug just in the chest and right under the arms but I liked the slimmer fit over the much looser XXL, I also would have had to have the sleeve shortened on the XX and the X didn't require any additional alterations. I would say the cut of the Rogue is just a little smaller than the BR, the BR will be comfortable I just probably can't wear the heaviest of sweaters with it. I'm 6"0" 195 lbs., I wear size 46 US suit, 34 waist pants so it is challenge to find clothes that fit right off the rack. Hope that helps, let me know if you have additional questions.

Thanks for the responses. It looks stiff, so I feared that to be the case. I really like the style, but I think it would drive me crazy to actually wear the thing.

I own the jacket. Yes it is stiff but that does not at all make it uncomfortable. It has a great style and fit and moves really well with your body. If you're on the fence, I would certainly encourage you to try it.

I agree, if you like the style and if the style fits you, I personally don't mind the stiffness and it will become less of an issue the more you wear it, just my $.02

The stiffness is an adjustment for a couple days. If the fit is right, you'll warm to it quickly.

Sounds good! My fear is in the BR Shoulders as they did narrow them in the latest designs. But I guess I should go with my usual L. Many thanks :)

Look closely at their size guide, also they have a chat feature on their webpage and the ladies that helped me were very knowledgeable and helpful and provided several additional measurements. I even took some pictures of where I should measure a coat that fits me and we went back and forth on that several times before they made a recommendation on the XL, for BR I don't think L is an option as far as their sale coats, it was just XL and XX and it is all sales fine but they told me you can exchange for another size. Hope that helps.

I have the budget version of the territory jacket and I just wore it around the house and if I was planning on taking a nap on the couch or recliner I just slept in it.
    Broke in quickly

In case anyone was interested in the Carbon Tactics buckles as seen as part of Bond's Drop Leg holster, i bit the bullet and ordered one, also did a review and Carbon Tactics was kind enough to offer me a promo code to share. Use Promo Code: BONDARMORY and you'll receive 10% OFF your order from now until the end of the year!!

I have read an interview with Massimo Alba himself in the german newspaper "Die Welt" where he reveals an interesting detail:

    Screenshot-2020-04-20-Schneider-Massimo-Alba-James-Bond-im-Cordanzug-Kann-das-gut-gehen-WELT.png

    Translation:
"ICONIST: Were you responsible for all of Daniel Craig's outfits?

Alba: On the contrary, we are not even a sponsor of the film. We only provided a corduroy suit, corduroy trousers and a coat. The bond makers also chose a belt. The suit can also be seen in the trailer. All parts are from our regular collection, we have not designed them exclusively for James Bond."

I contacted MA and asked for the belt here is their reply:

"Yes Mr Craig chose our Max2 belt, but now is not in production.
As soon as we come back to our normality we will provide the belt for the future collection."

I made a research and could find a light brown belt which was called Max2 so I asked if this belt was maybe chosen by DC himself as a private person but they wrote:

"Mr Craig chose the belf for the movie.
Yes of course, the belt is in black color."

So this might be the belt from the romantic matera outfit

Yeah I was also aware of the Max2 but since then when I have asked they appeared to have changed their mind - all very odd. Comms with them can certainly be challenging.

I did presume it was brown though to match his shoes

With the amount of whoring around Bond does i'd think wearing a black belt with brown shoes would be the least of his concerns :))

On a lighter note has everyone that ordered the Connolly Giubbino jacket received theirs yet? I just received my XXL today that replaces my XL and it fits better obviously with more room in the chest and shoulders but the measurements are still coming up short (shoulders measure 45.5 cm sizing chart says 47cm and the chest is is is about 63cm compared to 65cm on the sizing chart) I would suggest anyone that has not had their jackets shipped out should consider sizing up!

I’ve previously sent an enlargement of belt picture (poor quality though) on the Matera steps to MA, and they said it isn’t theirs, so might we be looking at the wrong belt?

So, perhaps the MA black belt is worn with the black trousers worn with the MA Duster....

Though frankly still hard to tell from picture whether the Matera belt is black or brown!
