    :)) :))

Actually that thread is for rumours we are almost sure are wrong, but hope is entertaining. Sort of our "alternative facts" news thread. "Alternative facts" should be the title of the corresponding thread for Bond26.

    That seems totally reasonable...

Babs Broccoli is to be given an award at a UK event, the Artios Awards, on 31 January, which is co-hosted by The British Independent Film Awards.

Maybe we'll get some red carpet Bond25 comment or post award comment?

Have just watched it on YouTube, and enjoyed it. I see he'd like to do a joint venture with DutchBondFan- that would be interesting.

Does this mean they are planning to film a stunt in London, or are they just planning and training for a stunt there?
Girard is a very experienced stuntman in French TV and film. He has a small number of international projects under his belt, notably "The Rythm Section" by EON. Now he's listed on IMDB as the Assistant Stunt Director on Bond25.

They train the actors don't they, fight scene choreography? I seem to remember Naomie Harris did a lot of weapons and fighting training.

Remember that London newspaper claim about the parachute or helicopter landing on the tower block, it could also be a reference to that.

Strictly speaking you're right. If we were only to comment on verifiably news and only in a realistic adn serious way we'd only need a few pages. But is that really us and can and should a fan forum restrict itself in such a way? I'm starting to fear we can, at least for a short period of time.

Miles is right that this thread should only be about 10 pages long at this point. The 130 pages of unverified news and speculating should have gone in the rumor thread that you yourself started :v

It's better than over 2,000 pages of complete nonsense.

Would that be at The Other Place?

We are now on page 141 in our Bond25 thread, The Other Place is now on page 2019 :D
I sometimes wish people posted more in this thread, but 2019 is " a bit much".

What is The Other Place? Sounds either hilarious or infuriating or both.

Cruise is making M:I films back to back for 2021 and 2022 releases.

    Implications for Bond26 release date?

I don't think the two MI min 2021 and 22 will affect Bond movies directly. I highly doubt Bond26 will be released in 2022, especially if they recast James Bond. Even if Bond26 is relesed that year it will probably happen in the fall, not in the summer together with the MI movie.

Bond 26? They haven't even started filming Bond 25 yet!

I don't believe they would do back to back Bond films with a new actor....I don't think EON would take that kind of risk with an unproven commodity in the role. Cruise and MI6 is a different story. Given Cruise's age and the fact that he does his own stunts (which is a big marketing point for the films) it makes sense. If a new Bond actor proved to be very popular it could make sense for Bond, especially given the time frames between films. We do focus quite a bit on the long timeframes between Bond films, but the MI films have been no better, however, Cruise and Co seem to be trying to rectify that.

Hey everybody, there's a separate discussion on the "possible impact" of MI on the next Bond film here:

So please direct your comments there and let this thread get back to. . .whatever. . .

I just want to say how epic the weekend of April 26 will be.

One of the final Game of Thrones episodes will air.

The final hurrah of the current Avengers storyline will culminate with Avengers Endgame.

And Bond 25 filming will be up and running, and every single one of us will be all over this forum looking for every drip of info possible.

    Cannot wait!
    Yes. Consssssiderably.

I am seriously starting to believe that Rami Malek is one of the villains in bond 25. Based on the Kimmel interview. The way he responds, i think its so obvious. :))
  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 22,344MI6 Agent
I think so too. Right now I'm amazed there's only been one real rumour about the two Bond girl parts still open (as far as we know)
  • SomeoneSomeone Posts: 1,590MI6 Agent
Forty six days until the start of filming, 46.

I just wanted to say that.

Yeah, I'll still wait until official confirmation but he was certainly acting like someone who was trying to hide the truth. Even Kimmel commented that he didn't believe him!! :))

Cary Fukunaga is currently dating Norwegian actress and model Kristine Frøseth. Lucky man. Let's hope she can help him give the scenes set in Norway some local flavour. I always liked it when they did that in Bond Movies. You know, Tatiana Romanova wondering if Bond is "kulturny", Bond visiting the gypsies, Melina and Bond walking the streets of Corfu - tasting local food and mingling with the locals. Lately the locations only get an establishing shot, we need more local flavour.

Froseth posted this pic on instagram. The building looks a LOT like Bond's supposed residence at 30 Wellington Square.

Could be, yes. I wonder if she can score a role in the movie? It would be nepotism and she's far too young for Craig, but perhaps she can be cast as a reseptionist or something?

I thought they'd abandoned the 'travelogue' bit of the Bond films because international travel is so much more common and so 'ooh look the Pyramids' doesn't have the same cache.

If the start of filming isn't for seven weeks it's a bit early. They're still building sets, for sure, and maybe some rehearsing of dialogue scenes for some cast members?

DC was still in New York a week ago.

Nothing but exercise and bird feed for DC until Bond 25 wraps. :))

The lack of rumours about the cast in general makes sense if most of the Spectre cast are coming back. Less casting, less rumours.

Monica Bellucci for the mysterious woman?

Good point, but I still think it could and should be done. Remember that 60% of Americans have never been outside the country. While the number is higher in Europe I suspect the numbers in China and India is even lower. Of the people who has been abroad many of them (I speculate) have been to typical tourist destinations like Mallorca, Paris or the Bahams. Most will still see places like Zanzibar, Spitzbergen or Iran as exotic.

It's an intriguing thought, but I think the reason is EON keeping secrets very well after the SPECTRE leak.
