I‘ll be annoyed if it turns out there is no press conference etc. at all like the last 7 times...
What do you mean? There has been press conferences for all the recent films ?:)
I meant it‘s been like seven times there was a rumor that we would get B25‘s press conference in that given week. -{
Ahh got ya. I agree with Welshy, with those two morning shows running promos and such now, it's pretty much confirmed we'll be getting the conference before the week is up.
They upped their game with the press conference last time with the reveal of the car etc. and like to unveil the title at the conferences now (they'd creep out in the Brosnan days), so I guess this'll be a pretty big affair. I don't think they've done one abroad since Casino Royale..? I presume it'll have to be at local daytime because I doubt the journalists want to stay up all night! But they'll presumably time it to make the morning papers in the UK: it always makes the front pages.
It's curious they chose GMA when Universal owns the show that competes with it...
I thought the same thing. Also, GMA is on ABC, which is owned by Disney. I’m surprised that they’d be promoting any film other than Endgame this week. I wonder if there is more than meets the eye here?

Wooing Eon, perhaps?
Perhaps. Or maybe the wooing is already complete and a new deal is going to be announced alongside whatever Bond 25 news is forthcoming. Why else would they be doing an exclusive?
I've been refreshing myself on select Marvel movies over the past week, but as excited as I am to go see Avengers: Endgame, it pales to the anticipation I feel about an official Bond 25 announcement in the next two days!

I'm not really understanding the logic of announcing that EON was selling off the Bond film rights to Disney at a press conference for Bond 25..........is it possible that GMA has the largest viewership and would then be the best platform for the official presser?
That being said, it would not surprise me that Disney may be trying to buy out EON, but that raises a whole slew of other questions.
Is Disney willing to partner with MGM? Could Disney have made MGM an offer they couldn't refuse for their Bond rights and be partnering with EON? Could Disney be buying out both EON and MGM? Is this just all in our imaginations? )

A relationship between Disney and Bond could take on many forms other than EON selling off the entirely of the Bond film rights to Disney. As you point out, there are a lot of factors at play. The timing of this just strikes me as odd.

Disney is a powerful player with deep, deep pockets. Having them in the Bond fold could be something that EON believes could future-proof Bond for 2034 and would be a hedge against any financial problems were to crop up down the road at MGM.
) yes his time has past ...... conveniently forgetting
Of the 4 Craig Bond films, 3 are in the top 10 British films
and Skyfall was the most successful British film of ALL
Time for ages . Yep! That sounds like a failing franchise )

The total crap peddled out there is remarkable. But as the only demographic still able to be completely pilloried is white heterosexual men and Bond is one it's probably to be expected )

Will be for real for sure - two big TV programmes in UK and US announcing. These are no longer simply "rumours"

I don’t think you exclude news outlets from press conferences unless you’re Donald Trump!
I think this is something entirely different than GMA being one of many news outlets reporting on a press conference...

UK channel ITV program Good Morning Britain (@GMB) hasn't added its trailer to its Twitter account.
