There's hardly any NTTD news on this thread anyway and the title says "Discuss Bond25 here", so I see no reason to kick the discussion about his speculations out.

Nor do I. Let's hear no more about it, please. Speculate away, and let's keep it impersonal.

    Fair enough.

Has anyone else been checking out the composer for "No time to Die" Dan Romer, I've heard a few people saying there a fan
of his video game soundtrack for Far Cry 5 and saying some of the action elements shown off could bode well for No time To Die.

I have actually been listening to the soundtrack for the tv series "Maniac" which Dan collaborated with Bond Director, Cary Fukunaga on and I've gotta say the film score lover in me is really quite pumped for the No Time To Die score, I think this chap dapples well in both melody and rhythm.

Anyone who's a fan of hitchcock films might also appreciate his nod to vertigo in the cue "My Mind is Playing Tricks."
Also it could be coincidence but i felt as though he was inspired by Jerry Goldsmiths Staccato Piccolo sound which can be found in Alien.

Like many other bond lovers i'm quite gutted that David Arnold isn't making a return, but i think Dan with do an exeptional job once given the chance, a prime example is how he built a drum kit out of stringed instruments for Beasts of No Nation and the affect of that had some real tension so there might be a possibility of seeing something similar "for No Time To Die"

I am really hoping that Romer is up to the task. Since QOS we haven't had a stand out proper Bond score despite Skyfall and SPECTRE having excellent theme songs (yes I am one of a minority who liked the SPECTRE theme, except for the falsetto part).
I'll have to spend a little more time checking out Romer's work.

I'm in the minority too for spectre but not just the theme, I actually like the whole score some might call it forgetful but I've been listening to it alot lately and totally digging it.
It's one of the things I like about bond there's something for everyone.

I think time will be kind to SPECTRE.

I freaking love the track from the PTS where Bond is walking on the rooftop. Coolest 'cool Bond' track in the last 20 years.

Wow, talk about economical with the facts, but Lea looks stunning! It's official, Madeleine is in Matera with Bond.

007.com's Instagram account has a Story video that shows Fukunaga talking to a camera, but there is no sound. One imagines that there will be some sort of, 'we've arrived in Italy', video at some point.

I like Lea Seydoux just fine....but I found her a bit young for Craig, but then again she was Mr. White's daughter so they couldn't make her too old. IMO, Mélanie Laurent would have been a great match for Craig in a Bond film. Laurent is a bit more mature looking but still crazy beautiful and it doesn't hurt that she's barely 5'2".

I would prefer to see DC's Bond with a lady of around 40. I know LS and AdA are not that young (34 and 31 respectively) but they both look younger than their years, especially AdA which, if she and DC do get together on-screen, might look a tad uncomfortable. PB/DR territory.

Craig looks like he is 30 years older than Ana de Armas. It’s going to be creepy if they get together.

Latest pics in mail of Ana de Armas make her look pretty ordinary...certainly not good enough for a Bond Girl. I dont get the fuss with Lea Seydoux either.

She looks like a child in that shot. Always thought the Craig /Seydoux pairing looked creepy for similar reasons.

I wonder if there will be major UK media highlighting the teaser trailer release, so we may get 24 hours notice? I seem to remember in the UK they showed either the Skyfall or Spectre teaser or the first trailer on the BBC or Good Morning Britain in the morning of the day of its release.
  • welshboy78welshboy78 Posts: 10,320MI6 Agent
Think that last Jamaica teaser simply dropped out of nowhere

The press conference thing has the build up on morning TV

Just to bring the topic to an end... AJB poster 'Someone' claimed that The Rhythm Section was actually No Time To Die in disguise blah blah blah. He/she posted many detailed posts explaining why the film was Bond 25 and 26. Two films in production at the same time.

Trailer for The Rhythm Section just been released online:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBK5Z_N_4TE

I trust Someone can accept it's a genuine film. It's not Bond 25 or Bond 26.

For what it's worth I think Someone should post an apology or at the very least admit his/her conspiracy theory was a bit silly or bizarre attention seeking. People can post what they like as long as they don't break the rules or don't go too off-topic however posting silly conspiracy stuff with zero evidence to back it up - as was the case with Someone - is not what Bond forums should be about. ;)

I never was a part of this „conspiracy theory“ discussion, probably because I never believed it BUT...

Asking „someone“ to actually apologize is stupid.

This thread reads „Discuss Bond 25 here“, so (if he isn’t insulting and stays on-topic) he can basically write whatever he wants. It‘s up to every single one of you to engage with it.
He certainly took a lot of hits for his theory, often even cheap shots.

But now asking for him to apologize for his ideas and opinions is wrong!
