Well as for the missing signature on the extension letter, just imagine for a second that the EU would have treated the UK with such thimblerigger stunts!
Our conservative friends would have gone ballistic!
Pretty sure that Rees-Mogg or one of the other clowns will challenge the legality of the extension afterwards.

Many MPs rightfully complain, that the time is not enough to check, discuss and eventually amend the Brexit Deal law within a couple of days.
Brexit is a historic event and the conditions should be thought through thorougly - particularly as no-one can really trust the PM and his word.
Hope that tonight the prorogations falls him onto the foot as there is not enough time to discuss.
He started the gameplaying - why should anybody play by his rules?

IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is killed in a US raid. Hurray!
Congratulations to Delta Force who put their life on the line. This is a major loss for IS. I also have to admit President Trump took a political chance in allowing the raid. He did great damage in the region when he pulled US forces out of Syria. A move that helped Russia a lot, but probably also IS. Still, this time he did the right thing.
There was a referendum about remaining or leaving the EU in 2016.
And everybody who comes up with the idea to repeat this is shouted down with ‚vote as long as you like the result‘ and ‚ignoring the democratic vote‘.
Then there was a parliamentary election one year later and the same people who are totally against repeating the referendum are trying everything to ignore that vote (which is the more recent vote and isn‘t the parliament the core of our democracies?), shut down parliament because they do not like what the parliament decides and push for another election. So basically vote until they like the result.
Isn‘t that a bit contradictory?

And then Trump did the wrong thing. Didn't take him long, did it? The man just can't help himself, his personality always wins in the end. Now he's mocking Obama for not getting al-Baghdadi, completely ignoring that Obama got bin Laden. Trump says Obama didn't care about getting the Is leader. Hardly presidential behaviour.
Obama didn't mock Bush jr for not getting bin Laden, but Trump can't be maganimous even in victory.
The president's admiration of authoritarian leaders never ends. When will he say stuff like that about allied leaders from countries with a free press and free elections?
Remember the Sergei Skripall attack and the subsequent discussions and fallouts on this matter here on the forum?
While it was very obvious that Russia was involved, I was one of the few who was asking not to jump prematurely on conclusions and let the authorities do their job before accusing anyone.
I even lost a friend over this disagreement.
In August 2019, a Georgian national was shot in Berlin, one suspect has been arrested shortly after and everything lead to that Russia was behind it.
Today, the highest national state attorney announced, that after a full investigation, a case will be opened by accusing the Russian state.
What I want to repeat is, in times where everybody can accuse anybody and everybody has a platform, we should have confidence in our authorities and let them do their job.
For the time of the investigations, we should be careful with accusations before the experts have finished their job.

BTW are MPs' emails defunct during an Election? If I email them, will they get it or do I get an email back saying 'not found here'? All email addresses seem to have gone... but will they actually get them? Do I have to wait until after the Election?

Put simply, NP, you will have to wait until after the results of the General Election on 12 December before you can email the MP in your constituency again. The removal of MPs' titles and official emails etc. is all part of the change of status that a general election causes while it is ongoing and before the final results at the ballot box are totted up. It's similar in nature to the political purdah that limits what the British government can do between the pre-election period and the forming of a new administration after the results of the general election are declared.
If you think about it if you emailed your MP during the pre-election period there would be no guarantee that the same person would be elected again as your MP on the other side of the general election. That's just one of the (practical) reasons why all MPs lose their titles and all the seats are declared vacant again. It also makes it a legal, free and fair election with no candidates (even the sitting member in the constituency) having 'MP' appended to their name, as that would give them an unfair advantage over the other candidates running in the constituency. It's all part of a proper functioning representative democracy, such as the UK is. The Institute for Government explains it all better than I ever could on their website:
What does dissolution mean for MPs?
When Parliament is dissolved, every seat in the House of Commons becomes vacant. This means there are no longer any MPs. Those who were MPs before dissolution cease to represent their constituents and lose access to parliamentary facilities and resources. They no longer refer to themselves as Members of Parliament.
The Speaker’s parliamentary seat also becomes vacant, and they must stand for re-election as an MP. However, by convention, the ‘Speaker seeking re-election’ stands unopposed by the main political parties.
Stymied... was all set to unleash a Twitter storm re the Election.
Damned if I know how to set up a Twitter account, however. Oh, sure, I do it - then find that it has my first and surname attached to it and the Twitter handle @ is a combination of my surname and the activation code.
Did this twice, had to delete account twice.
Takes 30 days to delete it, and until then when you try to start up a new account, it says the email you provide is already taken.
How Twitter trolls go about their merry business starting up and deleting accounts with slapdash abandon is beyond me.
Anyway, that's me out of the Election.
Fortunately it's still possible to keep up with and participate in the election without a Twitter account.
I don' thave a Twitter account I'm not even American), but I still know Kamala Harries is out and Blomberg is in. I wonder how Blomberg will influence the field after he joined the Democratic nomination race?
So will this UK election work out better (for the PM at least) than it did for Theresa May?
My impression is the Royal British People are tired of Brexit and elections and many just want Brexit done and over with.
It's too close to call, what with the amount of smear being manipulated by the media to serve their own agendas and the unpopularity of both main party leaders it's going to be close.
Whichever party comes 2nd, can simply demand another election
I've already voted this morning, and it was great because it was so early
there were none of those Party fanatics hanging about handing out leaflets
etc. I was also thinking how funny it is that ALL parties go on about "Green"
issues yet still print thousands of leaflets, which are put straight in to a bin
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
Don‘t the UK have a ban mile around polling stations?
Here in Germany all political advertisement is banned from the day before election and there is even a ban mile around stations, where no advertisement whatsoever is allowed.

Commentators here say the Tories will get the most votes, but the "winner takes all" election system in the UK may work in favour of other parties. They also say it's the msot important British election since 1945.

Russia is getting dangerously agressive, and laws and ethics has very little to do with it.

We‘ve had bad experiences with uneducated and shallow voting decision and that should be avoided further.
We believe that the decision should be made before the voting day (and it’s certainly enough time) and that it should not be influenced „last minute“
