She says she is the stunt double for the main female character (she doesn't say who she stands in for). If the production no longer needs her as a stunt double she will probably get a small role if the stunt people will let her go. They shot in Jamaica and that was very relaxing. Now they are in England for a big action sequence which is hard work. They rehearse a lot and change the choreography until the producers like it. She was asked about differences between Bond and Marvel production and she says Bond is more real action. Marvel action was green screen most of the time.
No spoilers in that interview. I work out in a gym where they show sport clips and the MMA training clips with Marie Mouroum are outstanding. I noticed her long before we found out she is part of Bond 25.
From what we've seen so far, it doesn't look like it. Her presence might be only testimonial.
I do hope that, if the "5 years later..." rumor is accurate, they have simply drifted apart and are living separate, satisfactory lives, only to meet again due to the plot. I'd hate for the death of either of them to be confirmed.
"Enjoy it while it lasts."
"The very words I live by."
Well, that's disheartening. If he meets the main female that early on than she already has way more onscreen chemistry than we got with Madeleine. She deserves a second chance after her rushed plot.
I would like it if Madeleine survives, it'd actually be a plot twist since everyone expects her to die. Like you I'd like to see Madeline
return in professional capasity. If Lynch's character at any time holds the 007 status I really hope she dies, blocking any speculation that she'll be the lead in the new 007 in future movies.
I'd only accept Bond's retirement as a plot point if/when EON ends up closing shop. Mind even buy his death if well executed. But M's death in Skyfall was a disappointment to me, so even then I'd be quite cross.
Once Bond becomes a studio property it will be, I believe, very different to what we've known.
Both Michael and Barbara are not getting any younger, and I know nothing about an eventual replacement to either of them. So I could see the family deciding to sell the rights. Wouldn't love it, but then again, the last 15 years haven't been particularly easy in terms of producing movies.

Its enough of a financial risk to have her as the main female of this one. She's the least classically attractive of the 4 girls including moneypenny, even though she looked a lot better in the teaser than she did at Godeneye. Before she changed her hair I was getting a Mayday vibe, which could be awesome. The franchise is overdo for a femme fatale.
Anyway, Bond wouldn't be so easy to trust someone from his own organization after they are so easily infiltrated. Maybe the new 007 is a SPECTRE agent. He would team up with Felix, not her.

I would imagine Bond becomes 007 again at some point in this movie (gosh; more Die Another Day vibes! ) so if Nomi really is 007, then she's either a baddie or cops it, yeah.

That's a pretty rough thing to say.
There is a third possibility for Lynch's character. She's 007 when Bond is in Jamaica, but when he becomes active again she steps down from the 00-section. He's 007 again and Lynch is a "ordinary" 0-agent. I hope this doesn't happen because some will speculate she'll become 007 again in future films, and when she doesn't some will say it was because of her gender and/or her skin colour.
Based on the photos and film Clips I've seen so far she isn't as attractive as most Bond girls, but hopefully I'm wrong. Lupita Nyong'o is better-looking in my opinion. That being said, I think Lynch could have walked into the filming of DN with that hairstyle and dress and blended in perfectly.

Possible, but that would be a surprising sexist move for the modern Bond films: I don't see them depicting a woman being made to step aside from her job for a man to do it for her.
And why would they do that? If they make him a Double-0 again why wouldn't they just give him another number and keep her in the job?
I agree it's unlikely, but I don't think it's completely impossible. Miss Moneypenny stopped being an agent and started working as a secretary for M. I'm not sure if it's a step down, up or sideways.
Wouldn't surprise me if she's 007 throughout most of the film. She may get killed off or turn out to be a baddie later on. I think having her step down or aside to make way for the real 007 would be a bit sexist. I can see Bond spending most of the film as a freelancer working alongside Felix and the current 007. ?:)
I really detest this whole anti-racist/ equality discussions going on atm.
No offense against any of you guys!
It‘s the society we live in today. Anything will offend someone and with the internet, that sh*t will spread.
Sad for me to see that even Bond is now partially infected.
Lynch‘s role forcast for example:
Neither am I racist nor a bigot. But making „007“ a black woman comes of as shoehorned into today‘s political and cultural sjw-agenda. Mostly of people only wanting to push said agenda without probably even being a Bond-fan.
Having a black Moneypenny: I don’t care (NH is gorgeous btw)
Having a black Felix Leiter: I don’t care
Having a black Bond-Girl: I don’t care
Having a female M: I don’t care
But for what I do care is James Bond and the number 007, because these two things ought to be one!

I wonder if it should be noted that the Fleming estate okayed the publishing of Forever and a Day by Anthony Horowitz - a prequel to Casino Royale and in the book the 007 codename is reassigned. Perhaps to prepare Bond fans that it can be re-assigned to new agents.

I agree. The best way forward for both female and non-white action hero franchises is not taking over WASP ones, it's developing their own from the grond up. Wonder Woman and Black Panther are good recent examples from the cinema, Buffy and Alias are examples from TV.
Hey, all I want is an enjoyable film. Including SP, this was never an issue. Equality, etc. should be fought for in congress, etc. not in Hollywood.
Nah, the most important place you can put diversity and equality is in the media: you need to show kids that all people are the same. That's a message which requires being broadcast, and Hollywood puts its images in everyone's home. Equality has to be fought for in the places where people see it the most: that's how you change mindsets; not in congress.
Why do you think Bond doesn't smoke cigarettes anymore? Because people think he's cool and copy what he does. You should know that especially: you copy his style and buy the stuff he wears! By having Bond not smoke onscreen they're literally saving the lives of some of the people who would have taken it up, in part, because 007 looks cool doing it. This is the effect of the media and Hollywood. You sell Vuarnet sunglasses, you sell cigarettes, you can sell equality.
That doesn't mean emasculating any existing male characters: nothing is at risk here.
Yes, he probably won’t be 007 at some point in this movie. For that I‘d like the DAD-version: no substitute.
Okay: it's a point of view I just can't wrap my head around- I don't get why it's so important to never have anyone else as 007. It's clearly a job title: not his name. It's not as if he wouldn't be 007 again by the end of the film.
Still, I guess Star Trek fans in the 80s were probably just as unable to accept that there could be a captain of the Starship Enterprise who wasn't Captain Kirk. This is even more temporary than that, though: more like those episodes where someone would come and take over being captain while Kirk was away somewhere.

She either has to die, or step down, or not be 007 in the first place. Other than that it's fine, she can be 007 for a little while.
But if they want to her to replace Craig, never mind the 007, the series is called James Bond. they are going to have to adopt the codename theory. I suppose a woman named James won't be suspicious at all. I suppose she could marry Bond and get his last name and just call it Bond 26.
I don't see it happening. It takes 5 years to make these things. I'm sure they won't risk a half decade of profit on a horrible gamble.
It pains me to say this.....but it seems that many here done lost their minds when it was made known that Phoebe Waller-Bridge had come on board as a script writer and the Tabs put a whole anti-male, neuter Bond, female 007 thing spin on it. It appears many of us have still not fully recovered. Keep in mind, we are debating hypotheticals here because we know only the bare bones of the plot. Take a few deep breaths.

Yes, a talented screenwriter who happens to be female is probably a good thing.

That is a pretty bold sentence! Giving you the benefit of the doubt on not meaning what that seems to say...
Thing is, we know he's not 007 at the beginning of this movie, nor at the end of the last one. So that ship sailed four years ago.
It appears to be 'Boom Shot Dis' by Kully B & Gussy G
