It pains me to say this.....but it seems that many here done lost their minds when it was made known that Phoebe Waller-Bridge had come on board as a script writer and the Tabs put a whole anti-male, neuter Bond, female 007 thing spin on it. It appears many of us have still not fully recovered. Keep in mind, we are debating hypotheticals here because we know only the bare bones of the plot. Take a few deep breaths.
It is a very important conversation to have. For tabloids to have such creative control over a piece of fiction is an Orwellian nightmare we live in.
Look, there is a way that a Bond film could get mucked up by an overtly political slant (in any direction). But there is ZERO evidence that is going on with Bond 25. Aside from a couple of weird reports, things have been relentlessly positive as of late. Yesterday’s teaser looked great! Why invent issues that do not appear to exist?
Visuals have been an issue from time to time. The "piss-filter" in SPECTRE, the bad CGI in DAD and the jarring editing of QoS are perhaps the best known examples. Still, the plot is more important.

My comment stands. Everything we actually know about the plot seems fine at this point. It should shock no one that Bond is retired at the start of the film because Bond retired at the end of the last film. I’d be more worried about the plot of Bond 25 if they had him magically back in active service!
But if they want to her to replace Craig, never mind the 007, the series is called James Bond. they are going to have to adopt the codename theory. I suppose a woman named James won't be suspicious at all. I suppose she could marry Bond and get his last name and just call it Bond 26.
I don't see it happening. It takes 5 years to make these things. I'm sure they won't risk a half decade of profit on a horrible gamble.
I don't really know why you see it as even a possibility to be honest. There's no reason at all to think the whole Bond film series is coming to an end just because, what, a woman got cast in a supporting role..? There's a lot of 2 + 2 = 5 stuff going on here.
Hi chaps, quick question anyone the music from the trailer ?
Cheers

It appears to be 'Boom Shot Dis' by Kully B & Gussy G
Hi, thanks, pretty good track and refreshing for a bond movie, even if only a teaser.
Cheers

Yeah, I think whoever they've hired to make these BTS bits is bringing a really fresh feel to it. I love those bits like the big close-ups of some of the extras: very stylish.
I like that it's a long title, so far Craig has only had one word titles and one two word one. I also like that 007 can be worked into it and the fact that it's a twist on a common expression (A reason to live). It's very compareable to LALD that way. But I don't think it's a very good title, it's more of an average one.
I've been wondering for a while if we are looking at the title the wrong way. Because EON hasn't announced a title, lots of people have concluded that they are grasping to find one. That would be logical. But it's just as logical to conclude that they have a title, but that it has a spoilerish element, and they are saving it for the first teaser to make the maximum impact. A REASON TO DIE fits that category as it hints toward a "Death of James Bond" scenario (even if Bond doesn't actually die in the film).
That title sounds so depressing, and not in the good way.
If it is the title, then I dunno, maybe it will grow on me, but at the moment, all I am feeling is "Bond will die" vibes. A title like this really feels like the end to me.
Still though, any title beats "007" or "James Bond" or any other non-title...

Exactly. ) Nothing is a given after Spectre!

A Reason
To Die
According to something I've just read about a leaked document.

Could be true, sounds less wrong than 'Eclipse' to me...
No matter what you do to me I'll never tell you!

Yes, which is a reason why I tend to think it's more likely to be invented by a fan, to my mind. But you never know.
There's Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace
It's something different from the rest of Craig's and has the "00" effect, but it just seems a little bland to me.

1 - Moore, 2 - Dalton, 3 - Craig, 4 - Connery, 5 - Brosnan, 6 - Lazenby
I forgot about QoS, so there's a three-word title too.
