I get the feeling they were holding off until Matera was done since it’s such a key action scene.

Now with shooting wrapped and post production in swing we will see very soon

We will definitely get two trailers, and many many TV spots. This film doesn’t come out for another 6 months. They might even hold the first trailer all the way until December and run it with Star Wars. That would be smart. You’d get a lot of eyes on it.

Good point with that Star Wars thing -{ Well, we'll se

I'll laugh my a$$ off if the trailer is nothing but action shots from Matera.

Assuming the first full NTTD trailer is with Star Wars on 20 December (a Friday), and will likely drop on the Internet a few days before then, the teaser is likely to arrive by 15 November; a month before.

Looking back at the time between the DC films' teaser and first full trailers, Casino saw 4 months between the teaser and trailer; Quantum saw a four week gap; Skyfall a 2 month wait; and Spectre, almost 4 months. Casino and Spectre had teasers released during filming.
    https://www.ajb007.co.uk/post/961763/#p961763
Quantum and Skyfall had teasers in the days and weeks after filming and their trailers came out 4-10 weeks after the teaser.
Casino's teaser came out on 4 May 2006, a Thursday.
Quantum's teaser came out on 30 June 2008, Monday
Skyfall teaser came out on 21 May 2012, a Monday.
Spectre teaser came out on 27 March 2015, a Friday.
All the films had their full trailers out about 3 months before the UK release date.

With a w/c 16 December full trailer drop likely, working backwards using Quantum and Skyfall's dates (we are already beyond a Skyfall equivalent teaser drop date of 72 days before the full trailer) places the teaser drop about 18 November, a Monday. The shortest amount of time seen between teaser and trailer for a DC film is Quantum's 4 weeks.

With a circa 16 December full trailer drop, Skyfall's 72 days would have been 5 October and the average of Skyfall and Quantum's durations between teaser and trailer would be this week. So, the teaser drop must be between now and 18 November. Of the three DC films with BBFC approval before the teaser drop, it averages 9 days between BBFC approval and the teaser going live.

Assuming tomorrow the BBFC publishes its approval, the earliest date for the teaser would be 8 November, which being a Friday also matches the days of the week when teasers have been released; at the beginning or the end of the week. But, 8 November is ten days before the likely last date for the teaser release, 18 November.

As teasers have been dropped on Mondays or a Thursday or a Friday, it would seem the week of Monday 11 November is the most likely, and the BBFC approval will have to come in the next 7-10 days for that. The 11 November is the UK's veterans day, soooo.

I'll put my chips down for Thursday 14 November or Friday 15 November for the teaser release.

"Ford v Ferrari" and "Charlie's Angels" are released on the 15th, but I'm not sure if you think the teaser will be linked to a movie or just be released on the internet? ?:)

I think the teaser will drop online in early December. That way it can still run with Star Wars. A second trailer probably during the Super Bowl on Feb. 2, 2020. The Super Bowl just makes too much sense. With the usual fall release it’s never in play. But given that a 30 second spot costs about $5 million, I doubt they’ll run a full trailer.

I had thought the teaser will just be an Internet drop, but.

I'd imagine either film would cover a good demographic. Those two films must cover the age ranges of 16-24 and 35-55. So, sometime during the week commencing 11 November does look good.

BTW, Mission Impossible II came out Friday 5 May 2006, Hancock came out Wednesday 2 July 2008, Men in Black III Friday 25 May 2012 and Furious 7 came out Friday 3 April 2015.

With 7-11 days between BBFC approval and most of DC's teaser trailer drops, the BBFC approval will have to come in the next few days or a trailer next week would be highly unlikely.

If the German Bond fan site is right and it's a full trailer in early December then we can forget about a teaser. My problem with the early December full international trailer theory is that there are no obvious films for it to be attached to, while Ford vs Ferrari and Charlie's Angels are perfect.

I had a quick browse in Smiths, and all I saw inside the magazine were a few paragraphs of information that we already know. I couldn’t see anything else .

Scott Z. Burns teases NTTD 'You'll love what happens next'
    https://www.express.co.uk/entertainment/films/1202470/james-bond-spoilers-no-time-to-die-daniel-craig-writer-tease-movie-scott-z-burns

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk , Burns said: “I think Daniel [Craig] has been an incredible custodian of that character and I think for the people who like the direction he has taken it, they are going to really love what happens next.”

He added: “It’s fun for me because a few years ago I got to write a Jason Bourne movie and they’re definitely opposite sides of the same coin.

“So I’m thrilled to have had a chance to contribute to the other side of the coin.”

Burns, while not revealing any plot points, said director Fukunaga had a “clear vision” for the Bond 25 movie, and instilled in both Burns and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who was brought on in April 2019 to edit the script, a sense of what direction they were to move in.

Asked what state the script was in when he arrived on it, Burns said: “It was in a completely reasonable state.

“Cary [Jojo Fukunaga, the director] had a very clear vision of what he wanted to do and I think what he encouraged me to do and then after I left, Phoebe, was to continue to push us towards something that both continued the time honoured traditions of Bond, but also continued to ground it in a world which we live in.

“That was what was exciting to me about going to work on it. Cary and Daniel and Barbara [Broccoli, one of the producers of Bond] all recognised that that was where they wanted to take this episode.”

Recently watched some Fleabag episodes and wondered if Bond will similarly turn to the camera and address the audience...

Ffs, I can‘t believe that this kind of BS is even brought to the table by an actress.
If Lynch really proposed that, she should be kept away from the franchise because it shows she‘s only pushing a personal agenda.
So rather than thinking of interest plot points, she‘d rather have senseless and subject-unrelated sh!t like this...

Damn, that really gets me going... X-(

:)) :)) Yeah... the tampon schtick is such typical Hollywood train wreck bull$hit.. but.. that’s where we are these days.. The age of “woke” pandering to hysterical fools.. I’m holding out hope the franchise hasn’t caved.. but I’m losing faith..

I can't believe what I just read. Tampon. Bin. Woman on period as a 00 agent, that doesn't even have anything to do with political correctness, that's just plain stupidity. Let's start showing Bond with a boner showing through his trousers when he sees a nice woman and before they go for it throw in a Durex product placement while you're at it. Maybe even add a dialogue like. "Ohhh James, do you have a condom". "I risk everything in work but I play it safe in bed, so - yes, I do."

Right. It's not PC, it's BS. But it looks to me like it's just suggestion from an actor, not something we know is in the script.

I’m not taking Lynch’s comments that seriously. She is clearly just attempting to heighten her profile through self-manufactured controversy. It’s a pretty common refrain these days: Say something outrageous, wait for an equally outrageous social media backlash, and then play the victim (but defiantly declare that you’re refusing to play the victim).

The people who are actually responsible for what ends up on screen have not yet given us reason to worry that Bond will become some emasculated shell of himself, or that the #metoo stuff will be the overt focus of this film.

My actual concern is that the story just won’t be any good (like Spectre). That’s all that matters. The rest is just noise.

For my money, that happened beginning with Skyfall.

    HaphazardStuff's take on Lynch's statement:

Lynch must have been tutored by Brie Larson on how to say stupid things and hurt your standing with the fan base you're trying to win over.

I have a bad feeling that probably Anna de Armas character might be Nomi's love interest. That would explain having more than 1 attractive female actress in this new age of genre equality and sexual preference inclusion

Seriously though, that is an interesting thought and could well be true. It's beyond in your face PC though. I'll take heart it's taking inspiration from Fleming with Pussy and Tilly in Goldfinger.
