I just watched the Safin trailer again, and it occurred to me how much we've seen of NTTD and how little we've seen. A lot of the bare bones plot has been revealed but there are entire credited actors (David Dencik and Billy Magnussen, unless I missed a quick shot) who haven't even appeared. We haven't gotten much dialogue either beside a few quips and some stuff between Bond and Safin. I have a hard time gauging the "feel" of the movie from what I have seen so far. I know lots has sneaked out — or been speculated upon to the point of near-confirmation — but it's amazing how close to the vest EON has kept this.
Both Valdo (David Dencik) and Logan Ash (Billy Magnussen) have been featured in the trailers.

I definitely wouldn’t call any of those being “featured”. They both appear for a fraction of a second in very quick cuts. I think Cheverian’s point stands—we really haven’t see them properly appear.
With this possible cloning sub-plot, "my skills will last long after I'm gone," I am wondering if Valdo, Ash and Primo might die more than once in the film?

Could you actually imagine if that was to be really the plot. Coming all the way from the realistic and grounded Casino Royale to this? )
I wouldn’t mind in the slightest as it would bring back that larger than life-feeling I really miss. I find it just hilarious, would you have seen the Bond of QoS or SF fighting clones?

The exact reason why I've been really worried about all this talk of cloning...it just doesn't seem to fit with the realistic world of Craig's Bond.

Bond walks past what look like liquid filled tanks containing adult sized bodies in the fetal position in one trailer or TV spot - I found it in the latest Universal India trailer. Why else would Safin say he has made Bond redundant?
Seeing Valdo fall onto that piano and the tension between Bond and Nomi when he goes back to MI6 I could easily believe Bond screws up the Cuba mission, Valdo dies and then we meet Valdo clone in Safin's lair.
Bond encounters Safin after he and Nomi find the lab with Valdo clone and the growing clones in tanks.

No worries, I‘m seeing it exactly as you: I too think the cloning plot will actually feature.
And I don‘t mind it, quite the opposite in fact.
Well, at least not until Craig fights alongside his own clone in a „The 6th Day“-rehash... )

The 'redundant' line could also refer to the death gas Safin uses on the SPECTRE party - I have a theory that it targets people with ertain genes, and that Safin has tailored it to those he thinks are 'evil' - SAfin has been said to be someone who thinks that they are doing the right thing - and he makes Bond redundant by killing off the 'evil' in the world.
Yes that's a strange shot, isn't it? I'm kind of hoping that's just for the advert as the watch is a bit too prominent there!
It does also seem to show that the watch has some sort of entry coder gadget in it: always good to have a gadget watch but I hope it gets a little sexier than that!
Has Bond worn a baseball cap before? I feel like Roger did in a AVTAK deleted scene... there must have been some more..

Just wondering if this is a shot for the movie or an advert? Bond is almost too casual for him to be working.

I think the shot of Bond in the cap, is from this scene.

Seconded. I think this is him after talking to Felix on the phone and heading over to meet him and Paloma.

Baseball cap. Bad idea.
Of that of which we cannot speak we must pass over in silence- Ludwig Wittgenstein.
She has been described as a pilot and we see her fly the glider-sub thing. Why else have the plane so prominent in the scene as Bond takes his yacht to Cuba?

Cool shot of casual Bond on the boat with the playing flying overhead.
With a nice shot of the watch of course.

Ensign for British Merchant Navy vessels
his stlye reminds me of this scene with Steve Mcqueen but it seems that the whole Gilder idea was inspired by this
Thanks. I knew there was a more elegant name for it.
Daniel Craig dressed as James Bond cosplaying Steve McQueen dressed as Thomas Crown. It's all very confusing..
Just wondering if this is a shot for the movie or an advert? Bond is almost too casual for him to be working.
Maybe a wink and nod to Pierce Brosnan to when he played Thomas Crown?
Bond becomes 007 again once he comes back to MI6 headquarters ?

M looks quite angry. Maybe after the mess Bond has created in Santiago?
M just prefers a standing desk now.
Baseball cap. Bad idea.
It's Bond, and Nomi, making their way, separately, to Cuba, and that is the coastline of Santiago, Cuba. Bond is on his yacht, Nomi is in the plane.
See that coastline here
