Omega NATO longevity

Hello,

I'd like to hear your experiences on the OEM NATOs from Omega.
How long they last wearing them daily? Also how does a more active (scuba/diving, etc.) lifestyle affect their life span?
Should one more like treasure them instead of having them as a daily beater?

    If you clean them and look after them, they should last at least three years looking good.

    Ive worn mine, quite a bit in the sea and in swimming pools, also for prolonged periods in hot climes and its worn fine, had it now 4 years but not as a daily, a couple of loose frays that I singed back and usual wear on the keepers and buckle. I've worn various nato straps daily and had 3-5 years out of them.

    I find the quality of the Omega NATO strap to be excellent. When it was first released, there were few straps on the market that were comparable and a lot of people wanted the "seatbelt" style weave and durability that the Omega strap provided. Most of the ones available at the time resembled the ribbed straps that dangle off a bookbag. Nowadays a lot of the strap manufacturers produce similar style straps (I think the best is probably Phenomenato).

    Omega nato bands are great quality.
    They are worth the price IMO.
    I have been using mine for 3 years and it still looks brand new.
    I don't swim with it though.

    Currently I have worn my time factor NATO for the best part since last year mainly for the actively spent warmer days and it already is fraying at the end (opposite the buckle).
    So I was curious if Omega's price is justified with durability, not just branding.

    While they're beautiful and you could clearly feel its a premium product, due to its price I am yet to pull the trigger hence trying to find a rational motive. :))

    They are certainly durable, I took the Bond logod one off my spectre 300 coax and put a standard omega nato on, I'll take some pictures later if you like so you can see how it's worn over the last 4 years or so, I bought the standard one before I bought the spectre watch and had it on a standard sm300 coax. A lot wlill depend on what activities you do and how often you wear it. I'm currently on a time factors nato for my daily beater.

    I’ve worn a Timefactors strap for 3 years now almost continually. Still looks good and it’s been worn doing all sorts of outdoor insanity.

    Mines still great, what 3-4 years on, wear it every other week alternating it with the Rolex Submariner.
    If I have any issue with it, it’s the tendency for the back of the strap to get clogged up with grime and sweat from wear, but I suppose you get that with metal bracelets too predominantly in between the metal joints...

    I stick mine in the washing machine every couple of months or so. Or take it into the shower and scrub it with a bit of Floris soap. The latter actually produces better results.

    Similar use with my time factors too, and mine is worn for work too.

    I really like the colour of the TF version as the stripes go really well with the steel case.

    I agree, they grey is more of a silver than the omega version.

    Oem omega nato 4 years oldish with regular but not daily use, worn on holidays, in the pool and in the sea.

    Mine still looks fine after 3 years.. Great quality to it.. Love it!
