Bond 25 Vehicles - thoughts, rumours and reports

Watching a few videos today of the astonishing Aston Martin DBS Superleggra got me thinking about the "Bond car", if there will be one, and other vehicles that are going to be featured in B25. With filming beginning soon, the models surely must have already been picked by B25 production and the relevant manufacturers and if they're going to be all new models, their production must be well underway.
Will we see Bond in a yet to be announced upcoming Aston Martin model, a special Superleggera edition, Aston's upcoming DBX SUV, a one off Aston like the DB10 in SP or something completely unexpected—maybe a model from another company?
What about other non-Bond vehicles? Is Jaguar Land Rover going to get another call up to supply vehicles for use by the villian, MI6/government etc? After watching Jaguar's great Rendezvous/It's Good to Be Bad ads from a few years ago, I wouldn't mind seeing a model from them featuring—possibly one of the sports car driven by the villain.

TBH I hope they keep it to a minimum, I'm tired of seeing them in every film! Beautiful cars of course, but there's more to Bond vehicles than that. Considering B25 follows on from Spectre, give us the Norton Dominator SS or speedboat seen in Q's lab. Bond could do with a Q-bike, or another personal vehicle that is not a car. In MR, Bond didn't drive a car at all. I'd like to see more variety in what Bond commandeers. -{

What would such a snowmobile be like? I understand several special forces units are looking for hybrid engine snowmobiles where they can switch to the electric engine for stealth mode. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/north/ottawa-testing-620k-stealth-snowmobile-for-arctic-1.1377270
A head-up display on the windscreen showing a map linked to GPS would be nice, but a vehicle from Q should have more fun a and inventive features. Collapsable skis and telescope poles under the seat?
Some kind of weapon, perhaps? A machine gun under the hood lineked to sights on the head-up display would be cool, but perhaps too traditional. Any suggestions?

Even the new Vanquish (Vanquish Vision Concept)...that looks nothing like the previous stunning models in the Vanquish line...im my opinion looks far too much like a supercar for Bond to be using. https://www.motoring.com.au/geneva-motor-show-2022-aston-martin-vanquish-to-battle-ferrari-f8-tributo-117314/
Maybe an upgraded DB10 or a more then likely a DB11 Superlegerra. Unfortunately the new cars shown at this years Geneva show are nice but they're not exactly subtle )
That's the perfect phrase I was looking for! I couldn't imagine Bond, a member of a clandestine service, trying to stay incognito casually driving one of those around a city )
It just made think of this scene in The Dark Knight.....

Take off the camouflage wrap, throw another vehicle in there chasing or being chased by the DBX and you've pretty much got a Bond scene done.
I'd certainly be all for it being the B25 "Bond car". Sure it would be the first main Bond car that's not a car but an SUV, but it could definitely work—I think it would be a nice change. Also a larger vehicle means a lot more space for Q Branch to install gadgets!

I am guessing this means no reveal at the start of filming press conference unlike Spectre's DB10.
I remember that at the end of Quantum, Bond is driving a hydrogen powered Ford after escaping an exploding hydrogen powered hotel. It's never explained how the hydrogen power fits in with the water supply control plot line. Can we expect electric power to be a plot line?
Could an electric car have gadgets? Apparently Hinx's car in Spectre was a hybrid, so maybe not.

Despite 2 links, the only source here is The Sun, and I've got to think if Aston Martin has such news it would be much more wildly reported...
Hopefully Aston Martin would produce and sell this vehicle unlike the DB10 from Spectre.... Time will tell.
Kind of funny to think about, actually - a car chase with an electric car would be... quiet...
Just imagine what Nascar would sound like if everybody used a Prius?
It would be very quiet because nobody would show up to watch.
It's such a horrible idea I'm all for reducing fossil fuel use and going electric or hybrid personally, but how do you replace the visceral sound of an exotic sports car in a chase?... the howling sound of a powerful, well tuned engine adds so much of the excitement in such a scenario. Ramping up the music will not be a substitute
“The i8, BMW's new hybrid sports car, generates some of that sound without having that classic engine. The i8 has an electric motor and turbo-charged three-cylinder engine. Buchko says they are powerful and energy efficient, but do not generate quite the same rumble inside the car. So, BMW plays some engine noise through speakers.... Lots of manufacturers are doing this now, although they have come up with some creative branding for the technique. BMW calls it “Active Sound Design.” At Volkswagan it is “Soundaktor.” “
I gather the i8 plays this roar externally through speakers behind the door panels too - I wonder if Aston does the same?

Check it out, you won’t be disappointed
The DAD Vanquish could never have been properly invisible with a loud motor and exhaust. With an electric car it's more believable.
To sit behind you and make v12 engine noises
A Tesla has been seen in the Langvann location in a situation that could be test filming. I too want to see Bond25 driving electric. It's the future and electric cars are now competitive with traditional cars.
I used to feel this way, but that was before I could see where the technology was going. That was at a time when the only hybrid cars available were the ugliest cars on the market, like the people who made hybrid cars thought they had to look ugly. But cars are changing, and electric cars are now able to do what high-performance petrol cars can do. I think today's Bond would appreciate the electric car, as long as he could also keep his DB5. Even Roger Moore drove a hybrid in his personal life.
This is what I got when I searched "Electric supercar" on Google Images:
https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=electric+supercar&FORM=HDRSC2
Fleming’s Bond drove what was a vintage car even at the time, and he worked on it himself. While I could see Moore’s Bond or Brosnan’s Bond going all in on electric, I don’t think it would be a deliberate choice of the others.
It's much more than the looks for me too. Some electric cars perform superbly, and performance is important to Bond. The movie Bond has always been on the forefront of technology. We must remember Fleming lived in a time when Electric cars were fifty year old granma Duck cars and it was acceptable to use the N-word about people. The world around Bond must change, but the essence of Bond must remain, I don't think poluting cars is a part of who Bond is at the core.
Someone somewhere suggested a joke where Bond was given the electric Aston Martin, totals it as he often does with his cars and returns to Q with the charging cable. I would like to see that )
Yep.... )
Ahhh noooo.... the humor in the SPECTRE car chase was more than bad enough thanks. What a terrible suggestion
I'm all for electric cars and would own one myself in a heartbeat, but please... no silly, done for laughs, quiet chase in DC's last Bond.
