Excellent point. Perfect advertising platform for Bond 25 (and the Heineken 007 commercials) . Because basketball has become a truly international game, I would guess that the NCAA Final 4 is also broadcast in Europe and Asia (especially China where basketball has become huge).

We seem to be getting a lot of cast members. So far, Bond, Madeleine, villain, Scooby gang, new MI6 agent (they've dropped the female bit?), Camille-like accomplice says Variety (why not Camille?). Is the accomplice, Lupita Nyong'o? But, still no mention of Tanner. Has Rory Kinnear offended someone? And what about the henchman/woman?
Between the Scooby gang, Madeleine, the new MI6 agent, the CIA, and the accomplice, it seems Bond will be accompanied for much of the film.
Exactly - Leiter could still return. Also, remember last year, Craig visited both the CIA HQ and the National Cryptologic museum? First thought on people's minds was it's research for B25, and with any luck we could be seeing a very espionage-y Bond film. -{

Filmmaker Cary Joji Fukunaga and a small crew are heading to Norway to shoot a frozen lake before it thaws. The footage will be incorporated into the pre-credit scenes for Bond 25, starring Daniel Craig.
It’s interesting to note that Danny Boyle, who withdrew as director, had wanted to film an iced-over lake in Canada. Principal filming will take place in Jamaica and at studios in the UK. The latest version of the screenplay is still being written.
I'm sure Italy is a nice country, but yeah, so many times now.
Still holding out hope for Japan, although we would have probably heard something by now if they were...
That Shatterhand rumour, even if false, has definitely got people thinking about the garden of death plot and surely eon must know this... Here's still hoping.
I think familiarity is a factor. When the Bond producers know a country and the location scouts, casting directors and local film crews there they tend to find it easy to go back many times.

Casting another CIA agent doesn't mean no Leiter. Look at Gregory Beam in QoS...

Is it that great? I remember the Rome car chase in Spectre cost a fortune. And there were all kinds of problems with permits.
