Personality of the man - James Bond

I would like to know more about the personality of James Bond, his emotions and feelings, after all he is more than a number but an intelligent thinking human being, subject to strengths and weaknesses, triumphs and failings. Even the 1970's Spider Man comics allowed us to get to know Peter Parker and how he felt about his life and the people in his life. I know we can't expect James Bond to have think bubbles in his films therefore another way of understand the man is desired and this can best be accomplished by the right music which expresses his deepest self and not just to accompany action scenes.

    Hello Teddy. To find out more about the personality of James Bond, the best way is to read the novels of Ian Fleming. You'll find much in them about his strengths and weaknesses, emotions and feelings, etc.

    Welcome to AJB -{

    Barbel is quite right, the novels are the best way to understand Bond's personality - and are a brilliant read. In the early novels, Bond is more of a cipher, though you get to understand much about his strengths and weaknesses. The later novels, however, reveal much more about his thoughts and feelings. Hope you enjoy them!

    I like to see him show some frailty ( as long as he doesn't get emo ) and maintain a sense of humour.

    I'd to see him have some fun, just a little fleeting moment amidst the mayhem, just a bit. Is that too much to ask. I really like the sly smile in CR when he trashes the guys car. More of that would be welcome. Or enjoying his time with a Woman

    He was really enjoying himself with Le Chiffre in that BDSM dungeon sequence in
    Casino Royale,........ Unless I've totally misread that scene ;)
